First Reading Heb 10: 32-39
Brethren,
remember the past. After being enlightened, you suffer a lot because you have
to survive in an uphill battle, both times you were publicly exposed to abuse
and suffering spectacle, and when you take part in their suffering were treated
in that way. Indeed, you have been taking part in the sufferings of those in
prison, and when deprived of their possessions, you accepted it with joy,
because you knew that you had a better possession and a more lasting nature. So
do not throw away your confidence, for great reward. You really need patience,
so that after you do the will of God, you really get what was promised.
For
it is written: "A little, or even very little time left,
He
is set to come it will arrive not delay him. But my people just shall live by
faith, and if he resigned, then I have no pleasure in him anymore. "
But
we are not among those who shrink back and perish!
On
the contrary: we are people who believe and are saved.
Thus
saith the Lord.
Psalm Ps 37: 3-4.5-6.23-24.39-40
The
righteous will be saved by God.
*
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and act loyal, cheer for the
Lord; He will fulfill the desire of your heart!
*
Commit your life to God and trust in Him, He will act; He will make your
righteousness as the light, and displays your right as the noonday.
*
God sets out the steps people whose lives pleasing to Him; if it falls, it is
not to perish, because the Lord sustains her.
*
The righteous will be saved by God; He is their refuge in times of trouble; God
helps and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. God save them, because they
take refuge in him.
Introduction to the Gospel of Matthew
11:25
Blessed
art thou, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because the mystery of the kingdom You
have expressed to the simple.
Gospel reading Mark 4: 26-34
On
one occasion Jesus said, "The kingdom of God: The kingdom of God is like a
man who sowed the seeds in the ground, at night he slept during the day he woke
up, and the seed was put out buds and shoots it higher! How did it happen, that
person does not know! Earth itself issued a fruit, first the stalk, then grain,
then the full grain in the grain fill it. If it is enough ripe fruit, the man
immediately the sickle, because the harvest has come. " Jesus said again,
"With
what shall we compare the kingdom of God? Or with the parable are we going to
describe it? It is like a mustard seed that is sown in the ground. It is the
seed that most smaller than all the seeds on earth. But when it is sown, it
grows and becomes greater than all other vegetables and put out large branches,
so that the birds of the air can be nested within rimbunannya. " In many
such parables Jesus preached the word to them according to their understanding,
and without a parable He did not speak to them. But to His disciples He
explained everything separately.
Thus
the Gospel of the Lord.
Devotional.
Last
year was the Year of Mercy. With the celebration, God wants us to experience
that mercy is far greater than all our sins. Therefore, the Lord invites us to
come to Him with trust, receive His mercy to share it with others. This message
is known as the "ABC of Mercy"
First,
Ask for His mercy (Please compassion of God), God wants us to come to Him in
prayer constantly, repent of our sins and ask him to pour out his mercy. In
fact, often there are people who are desperate in prayer, believing that God
does not hear and grant his request. In today's Gospel (Mark 4: 26-34), Jesus
reminds us that just as the seed the fields evolved through a long process
until the time of harvest, so is the kingdom of God or faith in God. God always
hears us, although with different means and time in accordance with our wishes.
Second,
Be merciful (compassionate to others), God wants us to receive His mercy and
invites us to extend love and forgiveness to others, as he has done to us.
Through discourse today, the Lord Jesus also emphasized that the Kingdom of God
developed in the real world, where we are and scavenge life, the relationship
we have with others, and in the task of daily tasks we, therefore, God's mercy
that we acquire, can be distributed to people.
Third,
Completely trust (Trust fully in God). a gift that we get, depending on the
size of our beliefs. The more we trust Him more and more abundant graces we
receive. However, the faith it takes "process": treated, cleaned and
refurbished. Like the seeds need fertile soil and ample care to grow, our faith
also requires proper place in our hearts.
Contemplation.
Our
faith needs a decent place in our hearts, How can a decent place? Create a
clean heart field, then the grace of God's mercy will flourish in our lives, we
too fruitful seed of faith in life, so that everyone can feel that God is truly
merciful.
Prayer.
Yes
God is merciful, grant us patience and tirelessly sowing. Amen.
