Reading 1: Dan 5: 1-6.13-14.16-17.23-28
Once upon King Belshazzar made a great feast to his superiors, one thousand in number. In front of a thousand people were drinking wine the king. In drunk wine, Belshazzar ordered people took the gold and silver utensils that have been taken by Nebuchadnezzar, his father, from the Temple in Jerusalem. Afterthought
The existence of the followers of Jesus Christ throughout the world to experience a wide range of treatments in accordance with the culture, habits, attitudes of local community life. There are Catholics who alone in the community that all members are equal but not the Catholic religion. There are Catholics who live in the community with various religions, there are Catholics who live amid Catholics. The general attitude to the Catholics who live alone of various kinds. There are people who are open and receiving, there are people who live unhappy, displeasure unspoken But there are people who are inclined and live openly insult, intimidate scare, sarcastic, mocking, get rid of, and bring an action.

And you will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and some of you will be killed; because of my name you will be hated of all men. But not a hair heads will be lost. If you persist, you will get your life. "
In contemplating the expression of the Gospel of Luke, do not arrest people falsely, that all Christians should experience like that, persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, sued, and if not that people think is not true Christians. Indeed, there are Christians who are persecuted, sued, killed, disingkir in conditions of political culture, religion, personal beliefs, as revealed in the Gospel of Luke. If it does happen, it's not impossible, the followers of Jesus must be prepared to remain faithful and courageous carry it, that particular call.

Item reflection
Jesus asks us to survive. We also asked to think of words a defense to prove that we are innocent. We are only required to survive. Let us look at our Master. Is not the blame to be put to death on the cross? Does he defend Himself? Is not He survived the hardship and suffering of his? Persisting not make us lose and disappear. Surviving makes us able to stop the violence and change the situation in an unusual way. Is not His death Jesus did not disappear and disappear? Precisely He changed everything else becomes new.
We are also able to change the family, the Church, society and the environment we become new. For that, we must endure in faith amid all the difficulties and challenges. Jesus, our Master has proved and demonstrated the way we should go, endure in affliction, torment and in faith, make new all views. Let's survive and turn everything into a new one.

Prayer
Oh God, guide the steps of our lives, I hope we are able to testify amid our society, not just with words alone. Amen.
