So they went to the king and the king asked, "Is not My Lord issued a decree that everyone within thirty days submit an application to one god or man other than the Lord, will be cast into the den of lions?" The king replied, "Yes! The case was certainly under the laws of the Medes and Persians, which can not be revoked." Then they said to the king, "Daniel is an exile of Judah, did not heed my lord, O king. He did not heed the ban on the lord spend, but three times a day he said his prayers." Very distressed to hear that the king, and he find a way to rescue Daniel. Even until sunset, he was still trying to rescue him. But the employees were hurried in to the king and said to him, "Know, O king, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no prohibition or determination issued by the king can be changed." After that the king gave the order,
and Daniel, and cast into the den of lions. Speak king to Daniel, "God you worship diligently, he presumably will deliver thee!" Then they brought a stone and placed at the mouth of the cave.
King of rock branded it with his signet ring and with the signet ring of his superiors, so that in the case of Daniel held not change anything.
Then the king went to his palace and fasted overnight late-night. He did not come right comfort you, and he can not sleep. Early in the morning when dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den.
Once in the cave, he cried to Daniel with a wistful voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, your God that you worship diligently,

So I did not lay a hand on, because I was not guilty before my God. Similarly to my lord, O king, I am not guilty. "The king was very joy and gave the order to haul Daniel up from the den. So ditariklah Daniel out of the cave. It turned out that there were no injuries at all to him, because he believed in his God. Then the top the king's orders, arrest was the people who had accused Daniel, and cast into the lions' den, either their own or their wives and children. Introduction to the Gospel of Luke 21:28
Lift up your heads, because your savior is at hand.

Gospel: Luke 21: 20-28
Jesus said to the disciples of His, "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. At that time the people who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, those inside the city must and those who are in the country must not enter it into the city. That is why days of vengeance and fulfilled all that is written. Woe to the women who are pregnant or who are nursing babies in those days! For great distress shall come upon the whole country, and wrath will come upon this nation. They will fall by the sword and be taken captive into all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations who do not know God, until the times of the Gentiles fulfilled it. " And will behold the signs in the sun, moon and stars. The nations of the earth shall fear and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will die of fright due to anxiety
in connection with everything that is coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens shake.
At that time people will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
People whose hearts are sincere, clean, and particularly believe in God must be very dear to God and neighbor. Even so, the person will still have a neighbor who does not like it. Do not we encounter in our ministry. We already live sharing with sincere, personal money to finance the event we put behind our community togetherness, there is also the heart to accuse us that we are corrupt, we are looking for the face, we have ulterior motives and so on. But always there are people who support and defend us.
That is approximately the experience of Daniel in the first reading today, His reading was long, but fun too, right? Interestingly, Daniel the upright, clean and virtuous once in prayer to God, accused opposition to the king Darius. But it is said that Darius own love and friends with Daniel. So when Daniel should be put into the cave that is fierce lion. Darius the king it is very sad. Darius fasted overnight and penance by not having fun, and of course for the safety of Daniel. When he found Daniel still healthy and protected by God, Darius was overjoyed and instead punish the accusers of Daniel were then put into the cave and eaten by lions fierce.

Item reflection
From the above it can be deduced experience,
First, no matter how well our lives, let us not be anxious and confused, If someone does not like us, because of course there will also be people who defend and support us,
Secondly, we believe that God will always help us in many ways, even by people who sometimes just do not expect, so do not be afraid.

Prayer
O Lord make us people who have read the signs of the times and the sensitivity to be fair to others. Amen.
