Reading the Liturgy Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Reading 1: Dan 2: 31-45
At that time Daniel said to King Nebuchadnezzar, "O king, lord saw a vision, which is a large statue! The statue is high, shining exceptional, standing upright in front of my master, and seemed to horrify.
The head of the statue was pure gold, chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, while the feet and toes
partly of iron and partly of clay. While the lord saw,
a stone was cut out without hands. The stone statue overwrite it right on the feet of iron and clay, so crushed.
Then simultaneously crushed the iron, clay, bronze, silver and gold.
Everything became like chaff before the wind, on the threshing floor in the summer, so that there are no traces anymore. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

Afterthought
