Part 1: 1Mak 2: 15-29
In the reign of King Antiochus Epiphanes Jews forced to leave the provisions of the law. Once upon a time the king's servants came to town Modein to demand the Jews offered sacrifices to idols. Many Israelis coming to them. Mattathias and his sons gathered anyway. Employees of the king spoke and said to Mattathias: "You are a leader, a man of honor and magistrates in this city, and again supported by children and relatives. Well you now also come forward as the first to meet the provisions of the king. This has made all nations, even the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem. If so, surely you and the children you are included in the friends of the king, and will be honored with silver, gold and many gifts! "
But Mattathias answered in a loud voice, "Even if all the nations in the region comply with the orders of His Majesty the king and each apostate from the religion of his ancestors as well as to adjust to the command of His Majesty, but I and the children and the relatives want to stay alive
according to the agreement our ancestors. May God prevent us leaving the law and regulations of the Lord. The king's command can not we obey. We can not deviate in the slightest from our religion. "
Not to mention Mattathias finished speaking, a Jew appeared to the public to offer sacrifices on the altar of the idols in the city Modein according to the determination of the king. Mattathias saw the blood rise and afraid of his fury right. Disergapnya Jews and killed near the altar. Officers king that impose sacrifice and even then killed on the spot. Then the altar was torn down. Actions to defend the law is similar to that once performed by Phinehas against Zimri the son of Salom.
Then Mattathias cried out in a loud voice in the city Modein, "Anyone who longs holding the law and adhere to the treaty should follow me!" Then Mattathias and his sons fled to the mountains.
All his property in the town of abandonment.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 50: 1-2.5-6.14-15
Who is upright, will see the salvation of God
* Almighty, God, spoken and summoned the earth, from the rising of the sun to the going down. From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shine.
* "Bring here the people that I love, which is a binding agreement with me, an agreement which was confirmed by the sacrifice!" Then the skies proclaim his justice; God Himself Judge! * Sacrifice of thanksgiving as a sacrifice to God, and pay nazarmu to the Most High!
Cry to Me in times of trouble, I will deliver thee,
and you shall glorify Me. "

Introduction to the Gospel Psalm 95: 8AB
Today do not hard-hearted, but listen to the voice of God.

Gospel: Luke 19: 41-44
At that time, when Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it, saying, "O Jerusalem, it would be nice suppose that on this day, even you, the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. Because it would came next, enemies surround you with camps, then surround and choke you from all directions. And they will destroy thee and all your people, your walls will be torn down and not one stone will be left upon another, because you did not recognize the time of God melawati you. "
Is as it the word of God.

Afterthought
In today's Gospel we hear Jesus cry, The Story of Jesus cry this is the story of the second, after the first one when awaken youth in Naim, when he drew near and saw the city of Jerusalem, he wept and said, "O Jerusalem, would that supposing on this day, even you, the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. "Jesus was really sad because his people did not also understand what is most important for the peace of them. They thought, the temple is the most important , whereas God who can bring peace (salvation) of his people.
Jesus cries are cries of a loving, caring and struggle. He was crying because it expects the best for his people. However, they ignore it. Jesus is truly all-powerful king can not bear to feel pain in his heart because he saw the fate that will befall Jerusalem caused their own.
Perhaps, it is undeniable that the tears Jesus is still flowing until now, even more profusely. He was not only weeping for Israel, but also all his special people. He menangisikita all people who follow Him because we are not able to capture the moment when God comes visiting us. She cried when we no longer provide a place of Jesus in our hearts, at home, or in the community where we work. He cried when God is no longer at the center of life alias no longer central to our lives,

Items to contemplation
Jesus has promised happiness to us but we prefer the happiness that we create ourselves. Often, we also behave like children who do not know thanking him. He loves us but we did not reciprocate his love. So on this occasion, let us try to listen to Jesus, who always wants the best for us, that He was not disappointed and weep for the umpteenth time.

Prayer
O Jesus forgive me if I've been hard to listen to You, forgive me if my actions during this time never hurt thee and make thy cry for me, Amen....
