Reading the Liturgy Sunday, November 22, 2015
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe

Reading 1: Dan 7: 13-14
I, Daniel, saw in the night visions: It seems one like a son of man came from the sky along clouds. He went to the Ancient of Days, and was ushered into his presence. Similar to the human boy
handed over power, privilege and power as king. And every nation, tribe and language worshiped him. His power is eternal,
and His kingdom will not perish.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 93: 1ab.1c-2.5
The Lord is King, He is clothed splendor.
* The Lord is King, He is clothed grandeur and power of his belt.
* Indeed, the world has been upright, no longer wobbly! Thy throne upright from time immemorial, from everlasting thou there.
* Rule Thy very firm; your temple beauty of holiness, O God, for all time.

Reading 2: Revelation 1: 5-8
Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead
and have dominion over the kings of the earth. He loves us, and He thanks his blood washed us from our sins. He has made us a kingdom, and priests to God, His Father. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him. And all peoples on earth will lament him. Yes, amen.!
"I am Alpha and Omega," says the Lord God, "who is now there, which formerly had been there, and will remain, the Almighty."
Thus saith the Lord.

Introduction to the Gospel of Mark 11: 9:10
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Blessed is the coming kingdom, the kingdom of our father David.

Gospel: John 18: 33b-37
When Jesus was brought to justice, ask Pilate unto him,
"Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus replied, "From your own heart Did you say that? Or have others told you about me?"
Pilate said, "The Jews Did I? Your own nation and the chief priests
has handed you to me; What have you done? "
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world! If my kingdom of this world,
surely my servants have been fighting, that I do not handed over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from here! "Then Pilate said to him," So you are a king? "Jesus replied," As you say, I am a king. For this I came into this world, that is to testify to the truth; Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
Today is the feast of Christ the King. Big Day is both a day trip last Sunday of the liturgical year. The liturgical year begins with expectation coming of the Lord Jesus for the first time through the first Advent Sunday, culminating in the celebration of Easter, and ends with the feast of Christ's Kingdom of the Universe, ie, when the Lord Jesus awaited his arrival for the second time. The liturgical year celebrates throughout the year mystery of God's saving work accomplished through the Lord Jesus Christ. By waiting for His second, we look forward to when Jesus comes as the great King who judge the living and the dead, as well as completing the whole work of redemption.
Christ's Kingdom is not of this world, Christ as King is He who brings peace to mankind through His blood. The second reading clearly calls this, "He loves us, and He thanks his blood washed us from our sins. He has made us a kingdom, "Christ became King precisely through events humiliated on the cross. In the Gospel of John, Jesus was crucified instead of Jesus as King of meaningful recovery. He was enthroned as King precisely through His crucifixion.

Item reflection
Let us worship Christ the King precisely through what we often think of as a brittleness, In the Eucharist, Christ is present among us and we He was enthroned but rather through the fragility of bread and wine, that is why, the fragility of our humanity that we often avoid this it became the place and manner of Christ the King in our midst

Prayer
O Jesus guide us in this pilgrimage towards the eternal kingdom of Thy. Amen.
