First Reading Sir 1: 1-10
All wisdom comes from God and in Him there for - ever.
Who can count the sand at the beach, the water droplets of rain, or the days of the ages? Who can guess the high sky, the breadth of the earth, inside the ocean or it wisdom? Wisdom was created before everything,
and the understanding of the prudent since time immemorial. To whom is the base of wisdom been revealed, and who knew all his wits? The only wise, very thrilling, namely The rest upon His throne.
God alone who created wisdom. He sees it as well membilangnya. His creation He is filled with wisdom. Every creature accept a gift from God. He distributed them to those who love Him.
Thus saith the Lord.
Psalm Ps 93: 1ab.1c-2.5
The Lord is King, He is clothed splendor.

Gospel reading Mark 9: 14-29
One day Jesus and Peter, James and John, came down from the mountain,
then back to the other pupils. They saw a great multitude of the disciples, and scribes arguing with them.
When looking at Jesus, the crowds were amazed and ran to greet Him. Jesus then asked them, "What are you persoalkan with them?" immediately threw the boy into a convulsion, and the boy was thrown on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Then Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he had this?" He replied, "From childhood!

Afterthought
The disciples could not cast out demons in Jesus because of this kind can only be driven out by prayer. Jesus showed brtapa importance of prayer in our lives. True prayer containing the tremendous power to transform the impossible into possible. For that we can not rely on our own strength, but we have to include the Lord in any plans, expectations, decisions and actions in life. We invite God to take an active part in everything that we do. We do not need to know what decisions will be taken of the Lord, but at least we have the good will to always consult with him. This is an act of faith, let God take an active role in and through us, which in turn will change our lives gradually And this is actually the core / essence of prayer.
Prayer is a tangle of intimate relationship and stay with God, a relationship like two lovebirds who fell in love. There is no love, mutual trust, open, self-giving in full without reservation. Thus, the words, not the most important prayer formula, let alone used the word mantra, prayer Strength lies not in the formulation of the words he said, but at a depth of relationships, faith, hope and love of God himself.
