Introduction to the Gospel of Luke 2:32
He is the light that became a revelation for the Gentiles
and became the glory of thy people Israel.

Gospel reading Luke 2: 22-40
When the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, Mary and Joseph bring the Child Jesus to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord, as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male
be set apart to God. "And they came to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons. The time it was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and pious life, who look forward consolation of Israel. the Holy Spirit was upon him, and had been revealed by the Holy Spirit, that he would not die before he had seen the Messiah, that he is the Lord's anointed.
At the instigation of the Holy Spirit, Simeon came into the temple. When the Child Jesus was brought in by his parents, to do for him what the Law required, Simeon greeted the young child and menatang his arms and blessed God, saying, "Now the Lord, let your servant depart in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen the salvation of thee, which thou hast provided in the presence of all peoples, the light becomes revelation to the Gentiles, and into the glory of thy people Israel. "
Joseph and Mary were amazed at everything that was said about the Child Jesus. Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, the mother of the young child, "This child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel and for a sign that will be rejected - and a sword will pierce your own soul too - so be real thoughts of the heart many people."
There was also there a prophet, the daughter of Fanuel from Asher, named Hana. He was already very advanced in years. After getting married, she lived seven years with her husband, and now she was a widow, eighty-four years old. She never left the temple,
and worship night and day with fasting and prayer.
At the time of the Child Jesus in the temple is dedicated Hana had come to the temple, and give thanks to God and spoke about the Child Jesus to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.
After completing all that must be done according to the law of God,
back Mary and Joseph and the Child Jesus to his home town, the city of Nazareth in Galilee. And the child grew and became strong,
filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
In recent years, increasingly prevalent thinking about the faith education of children. Various names, ways and means have been proposed and implemented. Today maybe we can gain an idea of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
This story shows how the Holy Family in Nazareth. They are a family who obey the law. When the time came for their purification according to the Law, Jesus' parents took him to the temple to present him to the Lord and offered sacrifices (cf. Lev 12: 6-8). Given the offerings were brought, Family of Nazareth is apparently not a rich family should dedicate a goat or sheep. Distance Nazareth to Jerusalem, about 105 km, to imagine the journey in the first century, however, difficulties of this kind is not an obstacle for a simple family have to obey the rules of the Law, For Jesus himself, to be brought to the Temple (cf. Luke 2: 41-52 Jesus in the temple at the age of 12 years), we can imagine that from childhood Jesus accustomed to associate with the atmosphere of the temple.

Item contemplation.
One model that feels good education is through concrete examples, Action speaks louder than word. Probably best if the child is taken from childhood is present in the Eucharist so that they begin to feel the atmosphere of worship. They can learn to recognize the liturgy, and things related dengannya.Mungkin is no doubt that in that case the church would bustle, crowded or kacau.Tetapi if this can not be resolved? Remember that our children are the determinants of the future face of the Church.

Prayer.
My God is all-loving, give awareness to thy people, that children are the future face of the Church to be prepared. Amen.
