First Reading Heb 11: 1-7
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For it is by faith had given testimony to our ancestors. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that what we see has happened from what we can not see. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. By which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts, and through faith he still speaks, though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death, and he was not found, because God took him. For before he was lifted, he obtained witness that he was pleasing to God. But without faith it is impossible to please God. Because anyone who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. By faith Noah, being warned - by God about things not yet seen - with fear, prepared an ark to save his family; by the which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Psalm Ps 145: 2-3.4-5.10-I1
Every day I will bless thee, and wanted to glorify thy name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is not unexpected. Forces for the sake of generation shall praise thy works, and will proclaim thy might.
Lively thy great glory and deeds wondrous will sing.

Gospel reading Mark 9: 2-13
One day Jesus was talking about how he will suffer. After that he took Peter, James and John, and together they went up to a high mountain. There, they were all alone. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became very white flashing. Nobody in this world
capable bleaches such clothes. Then appeared to them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Then Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, how happy we are here.
Let us make three tents: one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah. "Peter said this, because do not know what to say, because they were terrified. Then a cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud came a voice," This is my beloved Son, listen to Him. "And suddenly, when looking around they no longer saw anyone but Jesus alone. At the time they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded,
so they do not they told anyone what they had seen, before the Son of Man rose from the dead.
They hold the message while questioning them
what is meant by "rising from the dead." Then they asked Jesus, "Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" Jesus answered, "Elijah does indeed come first and restore all things. But how the Son of Man? How is it written that he should suffer many things and be despised? But I tell you, Elijah has come
and people treat him according to their will, in accordance with what is written about him. "
Thus saith the Lord.

Devotional.
Hebrew letter which was read at Mass today said that faith is of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith does make us capable of always hope because we believe that God will never leave us alone. But what is the meaning of faith as the evidence of things not seen? In the movie "Quo Vadis" early Christians demonstrated courage when facing death for their faith and serve the food of wild animals. It happened at the stadium Nero, as the spectacle of the people. Christians are already at the threshold of martyrdom does not become frightened, by contrast, they valiantly even sing songs of praise to God. Incredible scenery was stunning for many spectators. When the Christians prove that death bakanlah scary thing because they believe that God does exist and the source of their strength.
When a believer testifying to his faith, in fact he was testifying about his God. God is honored and is expressed through the human life of faith. (Latin: Gloria dei homo vivens).
In the Gospel told how Jesus was transfigured on the mountain. The disciples saw the glory of the divine with the prophet Elijah and Moses. No statement from heaven that Jesus is the Son of God's beloved. Peter felt a great happiness and wanted to stay on the mountain. But after the incident. Jesus invites the disciples to go down the mountain. The disciples came to testify about their faith diduniadan not stay on the mountain for a heavenly bliss. So we are also called to give the same testimony of Jesus is noble to assert his love to mankind by passion and death and resurrection testimony of faith that must be done amid the real world.
A boy has a male sheep. Once the sheep of his favorite play around and jump and down in joy in the undergrowth of brambles. Unexpectedly bush s favorite jatuhkedalam the thorn bush. Lamb's body was a little sore and bleeding. The boy cried and asked his father rose bush thorns cut down it, because it has hurt his beloved sheep, but his father sat him beside her, not too far from the bush. Then a little bird flew and perched above the thorny bush. And mempersonakan him with melodious chirp. Then the little bird to collect feathers duru ram caught in the thorn bush. Then fly while carrying her kesarangnya.
When Peter had an incredible experience, which made him feel happy, he wants to set up camp with Jesus so that they still feel happiness However, Jesus did not want His disciples if students live within the establishment, and much of the suffering of others. Jesus wanted them to leave immediately from Mount Tabor, and down to experience situations of suffering along with others. One of the message of Jesus from His decision was to go down the mountain are the students must be willing to suffer for others, as to which later alami.Yesus Jesus wanted his disciples to be like a sheep pet of a child in the story above, that the hair feathers nest for the little bird, though he must be willing to suffer wounds and bleeding, As followers of Christ we too have to be, namely suffering and always willing to sacrifice for others.

Prayer.
O Lord, teach us to share our happiness kepad others and suffered for our compatriots. Amen.
