Reading the Liturgy Sunday, March 26, 2017

First Reading 1Sa 16: 1b.6-7.10-13a
After King Saul was rejected, the Lord spake unto Samuel, "Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse in Bethlehem, for among his sons have selected a king for myself." When Jesse's sons came in, and when he saw Eliab, Samuel thought, "Truly, in the presence of God now stands his anointed."
But the Lord spake unto Samuel, "Do not be stuck on the face or high stature, for I have rejected him. Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance,
but the Lord looks at the heart. "Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to Jesse," It's not been the Lord. "And Samuel said to Jesse," Is this all yours? "
Jesse replied, "There is still the youngest, but he is tending the sheep." Samuel said to Jesse, "Send call him,
because we will not sit down to eat, before he comes here. "Then he sent to pick her. Her skin was ruddy, his eyes are beautiful and well favored exquisite. Then the Lord said," Arise, anoint him, for this is he. "Then Samuel took the horn that olive oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brothers.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 23: 1-3a.3b-4.5.6
The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack.
* The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack. He put me into green pastures. He guides me beside quiet waters and refresh me.
* He guides me in a straight path in his name that kudus.Sekalipun walk in a dark valley, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me. Stick your pasture, they comfort me.
* You provide the dish for me, in the presence of all mine enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
* Willingness and Thy mercy accompany me all my life. I will dwell in the house of the Lord of all time.

Second reading Ephesians 5: 8-14
Brothers and sisters, you are indeed formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Because the fruit of goodness, justice and truth.
Test what pleases the Lord. Do not take part in the act of darkness that is not the fruit of anything, but on the contrary, it was stripped deeds. For just mention what they do in secret places have been embarrassing.
But everything that has been exposed by the light becomes visible, for all that appears is the light.
That is why it is said, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, then Christ will shine on you."
Thus saith the Lord.

Introduction to the Gospel of John 8: 12b
I am the light of the world, the word of God. Whoever follows I have the light of life.

Gospel reading John 9: 1-41
Once, when he was walking along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but because the work of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day. There will come a night, where no one can work. As long as I'm in in the world, I am the light of the world. " After saying all that, Jesus spat on the ground,
His salivary and stirred it with soil, and put it on the blind man's eyes and told him, "Go wash in the pool of Siloam." Siloam means "Sent." Then the man went. He washed himself, then returned to his own literacy. Then the neighbors and those who previously knew him as a beggar, said, "Is not this always begging?" There is a saying, "Yes, he is!" Others said, "No, but he is similar to him."
The man himself said, "I am he." They said to him, "How do your eyes become literate?" He answered, "The man called Jesus made the mud, smeared it on my eyes and said to me:
Go to Siloam and wash. So I went, and after wash,
I can see. "Then they said to him," Where is He? "
He answered, "I do not know." They brought the man who had been blind to the Pharisees. The day when Jesus made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath. Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He answered, "He is applying mortar lands on my eyes, and I washed, and now I can see." Then some of the Pharisees,
"This man is not from God, because he does not keep the Sabbath."
