HR S. Joseph, Husband S.P. Maria

First Reading 2Sa 7: 4-5a.12-14a.16
On the night of the word of God to Nathan, "Go and tell my servant David: Thus saith the Lord: When your days are fulfilled, and you've got a break along your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, own son, and I will strengthen his kingdom. he will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be my son. Your family and your kingdom will be solid for ever before me , will be sturdy throne forever. "
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 89: 2-3.4-5.27.29
Grandchildren will be sustainable forever.
* I will sing the mercy of the Lord for ever, thy faithfulness want said hereditary. Because thy lovingkindness is built for eternity; Your faithfulness up like the sky.
* You say, "Have I tied covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to David my servant: I will enforce your descendants forever, and build a hereditary throne."
* He will say to me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. I will maintain my loyal love for him and my covenant with him will I hold firm. "

Second Reading Romans 4: 13:16 to 18:22
Brothers, not because of the law of Abraham and his descendants are promised that they will have the world, but for the truth on the basis of faith. Truth is by faith that is mere grace. So the promise to Abraham that apply to all offspring,
not only to those who are of the law, but also for those who have the faith of Abraham. Because in the presence of the God of Abraham is the father of us all, as it is written, "Thou hast I will make the father of many nations." That Abraham believed God,
the God who raised the dead, and that to his word
create that does not exist. For though there is no basis for hope, Abraham nonetheless hope and believe that he will be the father of many nations, because God has said to him, "So shall thy seed multiply." And it was reckoned to him as righteousness.
Thus saith the Lord.

Introduction to Gospel Psalm 84: 5
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house, who praise you endlessly.

Gospel reading Matthew 1: 16.18-21.24a
According to the genealogy of Jesus Christ, Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,
who gave birth to Jesus who is called Christ. Before Christ was born,
Mary, his mother, was engaged to Joseph. before they lived as husband and wife. Because Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was intended to divorce her quietly. But when Joseph to give effect to it,
angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child in the womb is from the Holy Spirit. Mary will give birth to a boy, and you will name him Jesus, because he will save His people from their sins. " After waking from sleep, Joseph did what the angel of the Lord
to her.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
There are people who try to lure others to apply as people to be pitied. Looking for funds while pulling the sympathy and compassion of others. There are also people did whatever they wanted another person with the intent to get something. For example, a small child promised a gift if you want to help their parents. The children also helps parents are not sincere, just to get the prize, sincerity has not grown.
St. Yusup an example of a righteous man. He was a humble, hardworking and did not talk much, he did everything wisely, based on prayer in silence. That is, whatever he does with a sincere heart, with no strings attached. Spirit to weigh and ponder before taking the decision to become the basis for any action. Moreover, if the decision concerns the good of many.
Our religious life is often done simply for the sake of obligation and does not involve the heart. We do not like St. Joseph sincere in doing something. We still have a sense of self-interest, want to get something. We pray to God in earnest because there are strings attached, are in need of this or that. But when it does not need anything, prayer often do random origin or minimally. Pray has not done sincerely, as a personal relationship with God. Menggereja life was done merely to meet obligations as Catholics.

Item contemplation.
We need to reflect on our lives for this. What we've really done something with a sincere heart, whether as a husband, wife, children, community members, or members of the Parish Pastoral Council? Or do we do something out of necessity and there is meaning behind all these actions? St.Yusup has been exemplary in terms of sincerity. Perhaps this time we do it all with forced. However, over time, hopefully attitude forced into doing something that could turn out to be a sincere attitude, which was done with the whole heart.

Prayer.
Yes God is benevolent, we beg Thy people teach us to pray like St. Yusup, who prayed in silence and with a sincere heart .. Amen.

Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins
