First Reading Isaiah 1: 10.16-20
Hear the word of the Lord, ye leaders of Sodom! Pay attention to the teaching of our God, ye people of Gomorrah! "Wash Cleanse yourselves, put away the evil deeds out of my sight.
Stop doing evil, learn to do good. Seek justice, control the cruel; Defend the rights of orphans, widows strive case! Then come over here, and let us litigate! the word of God . Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the country. People who are upright, will see the salvation of God.
* Not because the sacrifice you are punished, because there is always burnt offerings before Me! I need not take a bull from your house or goats from your sheepfolds.
* Do that to investigate my statutes, and mention my covenant with your mouth, but you hate admonition, and put aside my words?

Devotional.
We often hear the advice: Repent, change your behavior, do not do evil again, do not sin again, and so on. However, we admit, fairy behavior change is not easy, it requires time and process.
The period of Lent is the time to repent, when the time to improve. Counsel of the prophet Isaiah Today was good: "Wash Cleanse yourselves, put away the deeds evil of my sight." Why did Isaiah say that? Because God can not be deceived.
