Thus saith the Lord, As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it fertile and grow herbs, giving seed to the sower
and bread to the eater, so is the word that comes out of my mouth: It will not return to me vain, but he will do what Kukehendaki, and will succeed in what I sent to him.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 34: 4-5.6-7.16-17.18-19
God delivered the righteous of all his troubles.
* Glorify the Lord with me, let us together memasyhurkan his name! I had sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and release me from all my fears.
* Indicate your eyes on Him, then your face will be radiant,
and not be embarrassed blushing. This poor man cried, and the Lord listened to: He saved him out of all his troubles.
* The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears to their cry; face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
* When the righteous cry out, God was listening:
them from all their troubles he release. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Introduction to the Gospel of Matthew 4: 4b
Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Gospel reading Matthew 6: 7-15
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said to the disciples of His, "In your prayers do not beat around the bush as the habits of people who do not know God. They think that because of the many words of their prayers heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need before you ask Him.
Therefore pray like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our faults, as we also forgive those who wronged us; And lead us not into trial, but deliver us from the evil one. Amen. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others,
Your Father will not forgive your sins. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
The period of Lent is a time of penance Christians to be more persistent in prayer and silence. Prayer is a fundamental duty of the faithful and the silence is a requirement to be able to pray well. With prayer, we are able to know the will of God. By silence, we were able to pray well. Amid the bustle world that demands work and earn money for the future, often people forget the life of prayer. Therefore, the habit of personal prayer and active prayer is something positive environment. But often forgotten is how to pray.
Jesus teaches us today how to pray properly. "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. Then your Father, who see the hidden will reward you. "(Matt: 6.6)
For Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, prayer is important. Every case he did always preceded by a prayer, then students are taught His disciples how to pray. Praying is entered in silence and communicate with God. Therefore, the evangelical counsels is very clear, that do not beat around the bush and prayers sentence length and do not show off or display so others admire. Praying is not necessary with a view to praise True prayer is accompanied by an attitude of humility as a sinner who begged forgiveness from Allah.

Item contemplation.
Let during this Lent we use are either in the process of spiritual life through prayer. It is a prayer that we often use is to read, but have we learned to pray and not trying to pray. The point is that as Catholics, we can pray not only with the mind-our heads but with our hearts. Prayer should be part of daily life as an experience of God's love.
Correspondingly, in the Our Father we agrees that the most important thing is the will of God happens within us, rather than to impose the will of ourselves. The Lord's Prayer also contain demands for brothers to live as children of God are one and the same. Therefore, we should do good to others so that we deserve pleading goodness of God. We must be willing to forgive our neighbor so that we also deserve beg forgiveness from Him. Obviously this is not a prayer that is light and easy. In fact it can be said weight but very beautiful if we live with earnest.

Prayer.
Yes God is benevolent, we teach your people to be able to pray with the heart and with a humble attitude. Amen.
