DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (FRIDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Friday, February 10, 2017
PW S. Skolastika, Virgin

First Reading Genesis 3: 1-8
Snake is the most cunning of all the animals on the land which the Lord God made. The serpent said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said,
'All the trees in the garden, Ye shall not eat, do not you? "
The woman replied, "The fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat. But the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God said: Do you eat or touch the fruit, or you'll die."
But the serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!
For God knows that when you eat it, your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. "When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and savory seems, after all, the tree was attractive because gives light. So he took of the fruit, then eat, and gave also to her husband with her;
and her husband eat. Then the eyes of both of them,
and they knew that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. When they heard the footsteps of God, which is a walk in the garden in the cool of the day,
man and his wife hid themselves from the Lord God among the trees in the garden.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 32: 1-2.5.6.7
Blessed, whose transgression is forgiven.
* Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, and his sins are covered! Blessed, the mistake was not counted the Lord, and not soulless cheater!
* Finally, I express my sins to You and not hide my iniquity; I said "I will go to God and confess all my transgressions." So you've forgiven my mistakes.
* Therefore let all the godly pray to Thee, while overwritten distress; despite the great flood happened, he will not be knocked.
* You are hiding me, O Lord! You look after the distress you protect me, so I escaped and cheered.

Introduction to Gospel Acts 16: 14b
O God, open our hearts, so that we pay attention to the words of your Son.

Gospel reading Mark 7: 31-37
At that time Jesus left the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis. Some people brought to him a deaf and stuttering and begged Jesus to lay his hands on him. So him aside from the crowd,
so that they are alone. Then he put his fingers into his ears, and spat and touched his tongue. Then he looked up to heaven Jesus sighed and said to him,
"Effata!", Meaning: Be opened! Then the man's ear and immediately it apart precisely his tongue, and he spoke plainly.
Jesus ordered the people who were there orders not to tell anyone. But his increasingly banned them, the more widely they proclaimed it. They were amazed and astonished, saying, "He makes everything better! That made him deaf to hear, the dumb made him talk."
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
Deaf and dumb people can not hear the other and can not express ideas and feelings to others normally. He is difficult to express himself as a human being full.
In the Gospel, Jesus healed the deaf and dumb. Conceivably, the healed man must be very merry. He began to hear and speak with others, can communicate with others. He can better express themselves well. In general, men by Jesus humanized, elevated by one rank.
We sometimes also experience the deaf and dumb, deaf and dumb to our neighbor to others. We did not hear the screams of others who need our attention. We are closed to our neighbor. We too often deaf to the word of God himself who would greet us. God approached us with his word and wants us happy, we did not listen. Sometimes we are too dumb to God, can not answer the word of God given to us. Our hearts are closed to God, for the love of God wants to save us. Our hearts are closed to God, for the love of God wants to save us. So we often feel unhappy, no peace, no joy. Let us ask that we be healed and touched by God in order not deaf and dumb towards God and our neighbor.

Item contemplation.
Goodness of God is universal goodness. This means that the goodness of God and the work of salvation - His salvation is for all mankind. It is essential that people who believe in God gives himself to be guided by God's universal goodness and proclaim through deeds and words exactly as intended - his. Odds are that the goodness of God it claimed only for yourself or your own group. Perhaps this is due to immaturity in the faith so that tidk sdar used as a benchmark to claim unilaterally kemurhan the universal divine heart. People not believe and live like God but make God into a dwarf like selfishness and his way of thinking.
In today's Gospel we hear Jesus went to the stricken Decapolis. This is not the territory of Israel but the area is regarded as infidels or not including a Jewish fraternity. There, Jesus performed a miracle by healing a deaf and stuttering. The claim of the Jews at the time, should Jesus did not heal him, because he is a foreigner, not a Jew. But Jesus broke the narrow confines of the safety claims that, as human beings, who deserve a touch of God's salvation. God's goodness is universal. Therefore we should not limit God's goodness just for its own sake or just for a group or tribe itself. We who believe in Jesus must proclaim the love of Jesus to anyone, especially small and special needs. It is wrong and sinful if we limit God's goodness as though the goodness of God as if God's goodness it was only for ourselves when the goodness of God is universal.

Prayer.
O Lord, open our eyes to always look and preach love and kindness - Mu which is open to everyone. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (THURSDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Thursday, February 9, 2017

First Reading Genesis 2: 18-25
The Lord God said: "It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make a helper for him, which is commensurate with her." Then the Lord God formed from the ground all the beasts and all the birds of the air. Brought Him everything to the man to see, how he named; and as the human name given to every living being, so later the name of the creature.
The man gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field, but for himself, he did not find a helper fit for him. Then the Lord God caused a deep sleep; when he slept, God took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And a rib taken from the man of God, built made a woman, and brought her to the man. The man said: "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She will be called woman, because she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they become one flesh. They were both naked, the man and his wife, but they do not feel embarrassed.

Psalm Ps 128: 1-2.3.4-5
The righteous life will be blessed by God.
* Blessed are the pious to God, who walks in His ways! If you enjoy the fruits of your labor,
blessed are you and are you all right!
* Your wife will be like a fertile vine within your house;
thy children like olive plants around your table!
* Really, it shall be blessed by God man pious life. May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: Jerusalem should see the happiness of your life,

Gospel reading Mark 7: 24-30
At the time he left the region of Galilee and went to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want that there are people who know. But his arrival could not be kept secret.
In fact, there was a mother, whose daughter was possessed by an evil spirit. Having heard about Jesus, she came and fell at his feet. Mother was a Greek nationality Syro-Phoenician. She asked Jesus to cast the demon out of her daughter. Jesus said to him, "Let the children be satisfied first! Not worth taking the bread provided for the children and throw it to the dogs."
But the mother replied, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table
eat the crumbs that dropped the kids. "Then Jesus said to the mother," Because of your words, go home, for the demon has left your daughter. "She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
The experience of others often becomes a meaningful lesson for our lives. Moreover, if we face a similar experience. Recently, as the use of social media has become part of the routine. It's not fun without medsos, either read the status, view photos, read news, and others. No less interesting also read overflow of the heart the cool, full of rage and jealousy, threats, hoaxes. There are many valuable lessons about life and the need to take a cautious stance heart's in digesting all the information flow. Recently, some people tangled case UUTE for hatred, insults, threats. in the social media world as an open-plan freely without rules, but apparently not everyone is ready to accept it. then we need to learn and be made aware of these cases so that more critical face of the digital world. being sick. But Jesus realized.
Syro Phoenician woman performing with courage and begged Jesus to give attention to children who are sick. But Jesus realized that she was not a nationalistic Jew, have not duly received salvation by saying: "No right to take the bread provided for the children and throw it to the dogs" Unexpectedly woman had guts as denied Jesus "Yes, Lord, but dog under the table too eating crumb crusts that dropped the children "In the context of the mission, the woman brought new awareness of the mission of salvation which also will be directed to outside the Jewish nation. She had to struggle to get the same rights before God and Jesus gave him. How does our attitude toward others with different beliefs?

Item contemplation.
The author of Genesis believes that man was created as male and female to be a suitable helper. A pair of newly married bride, so passionate for loving each other. But their love is still paced fun only. In fact, over each other trying to not want to hurt. With time, the love of husband and wife who have been married necessarily indicate a deeper quality. Various test of loyalty, and various difficulties have matured their family life, existence of belief and confidence in the loyalty of the couple, making their lives more meaningful. They are reassured by the experience of ups and downs as a family, that no one can separate their love, which is the deepest meaning of marriage in fidelity.
In particular levels, we could feel the love of the women in the Gospel that was fighting for his recovery. He does not care when his pride humbled. He did not feel hurt. Sincerity and confidence faith did not waver. He believed that Jesus could save his son. There is a profound conviction, there is no yearning deep and persistent effort, until he forgot his pride for the sake of healing. This is the quality of a mother's love for her child.
The father or husband may ask, why the evangelist Mark just showed the tenacity of a woman or a mother. Why not tell us how this mom helped her husband fight for his safety? We can find the answer in the first reading. Man was created to help each other and complement, should appear in the practice of daily living. Hopefully the struggle and effort it makes our life more quality, more meaningful.

Prayer.
O God, thy creation of unique and diverse, teach us to appreciate and respect the differences with words and a good attitude. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (WEDNESDAY 8 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Wednesday, February 8, 2017
PF S. Jerome Emilianus

First Reading Genesis 2: 4b-9.15-17
Thus the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, - no bush anything on earth, has not raised any plants in the field; for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; but there was mist rising up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the earth - that's when the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed life into his nostrils; and man became a living soul.
And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Then the Lord God to grow every tree of the earth, interesting and good for food; and the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it. Then the Lord God gave this commandment to the man: "All the trees in the garden may you eat its fruit freely, but the tree of knowledge of good and evil, do not you eat the fruit, because on the day you eat from it you will surely die."

Psalm Ps 104: 1-2a.27-28.29bc
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
God, my God, you are very great! You are dressed in glory and splendor, which is covered with light as with a garment, who stretches out the heavens like a tent;
All of them wait for you, so given food on time.
If you provide it, they picked it up; when you open your hand, they were filled with goodness.
If thou hide thy face, they were surprised; if you take away their spirit, they die and return to dust.

Gospel reading Mark 7: 14-23
One day, Jesus called the crowd and said to them, "Listen to Me and carefully consider this! Anything from the outside, which goes into a man, can not defile him! But what comes out of a man, that defiles a man!" Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear! After this, Jesus went into a house to get away from the crowds. Then the disciples asked Jesus about the parable. Jesus answered, "Are you also can not understand? Listen! Everything from the outside into the man can not defile him, because it does not go into his heart but into his stomach, then dumped into the sewer?"
Thus Jesus declared all food clean. Jesus said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man! Because of the hearts come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, evil, cunning, lust, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly . All these evil things come from within and defile a man. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
The first reading today tells of the creation of man by God. Man was formed from the dust of the earth. God breathed the breath of life so lifelike. For her, the man was given all the things you need, such as various fruit trees provide tasty and fresh to eat. But there was one tree which is the tree of life that should not be eaten. We are familiar with this story. Even Sunday School children had been given this story. But what does it mean?
The first man was created by God as a beautiful work of art. God formed man of the dust, From which does not mean, that dust, we became human meaning because it is made and shaped by God. So it is necessary to always give thanks, for this life being so precious and valuable because we have been appointed by God to be a creature of dignity and worth.
Twice humans equipped with everything needed in order to live. That is the meaning of all the trees that God gave to us eating and we used to live. Nature created by Allah is actually incredible. We can eat from what is produced by the tree, drawing water from the earth, from all kinds of mine too. When it hurts, there are a variety of medicinal plants that extraordinary usefulness. If sick colds, create ginger, warm deh, That means that nature is already sufficient in providing the means to live, is important we do not get greedy and exploit nature arbitrary arbitrary.
Thirdly the tree of life that is forbidden to be eaten reveal that remain in the natural world and ourselves these remains belong only to God. There is a part of life that still belong to God and must remain a mystery to us. That is life itself that we must submit to God alone.

Item contemplation.
Healthy heart, For from within. out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts (Mk 7: 21) Those Pharisees and scribes are upset because pupils disciples did not obey the tradition of the elders. They want to state that His disciples pupil hands are unclean because not washed before eating would defile their food anyway. Jesus would affirm that defiles not the outward things, but that bathiniah. The heart is the center of the human personality. If the liver is not maintained properly then comes all the following list of sins: sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, evil, cunning, lust. envy . blasphemy, pride. imbecility, (Mark 7: 21-22) It is this thing that defile the man. Human sanctity is not lost because of contact with the outer impurity, for example through contact with people / objects unclean. Sanctity of human beings would be lost as a result of sin.
Some of these things are ways to maintain "heart health"
1. Give sincere compliments.
2. Consider others more important than yourself
3. Be a good listener
4. Be friendly,
5. Be liberal heart / love sharing.
6. Avoid denounced / belittle others.
7. So do what you want others do unto you.
8. Most importantly have a good personal time with God in prayer, reading His Word, the adoration or receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Blessed Sacrament. Congratulations "exercise" to maintain a healthy heart.

Prayer.
O Lord, teach us to be wise in words and also peri behavior, especially when we are dealing with our fellow. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (TUESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Tuesday, February 7, 2017

First Reading Genesis 1: 20-2: 4a
When creating the universe, God said, "Let the water swarmed with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the horizon." So God created the sea creatures great and all kinds of living creature that moves, which swarm in the water, and all kinds of winged birds. God saw that it was good. And God bless all of it, his words,
"Be fruitful and multiply and fill the sea, and let birds multiply on the earth." And there was evening and morning: the fifth day. Speak, God, "Let the earth put forth living creatures after their kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and all kinds of wild animals." It was so. God made the wild animals, all kinds of animals and all kinds of creeping things of the earth.
God saw that it was good. Speak, God, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
So God created man in his own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Speak, God, "Behold, I have given you every herb that yields seed the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed. That would be food. Medium to all the beasts of the earth and birds of the air
and everything that creeps on the earth, animate, I have given every green plant for food. "And it was so. And God saw everything that made him that it was very good. So was evening and morning: the sixth day. Thus the heavens and earth
and all its contents. On the seventh day God had finished the work that made him that. He then stopped on the seventh day from all his work which he had done it. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he rested from all his work which he had done it. Thus the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created. Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 8: 4-5.6-7.8-9
O Lord, our Lord, how noble is your name in all the earth.
* When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Kaupasang: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? The son of man that You visit him?
* Kauciptakan him almost equal to God, Kaumemahkotai with glory and splendor. You gave him power over the works of your hands; everything has Kautundukkan under his feet.
* Sheep, cattle and all cattle, wild animals and wildlife;
birds in the sky and the fish in the sea, and all that cross the ocean currents.

Introduction to Gospel Psalm 119: 36a.29b
Incline my heart to thy commandments, O God, and thy law Bless me.

Gospel reading Mark 7: 1-13
One day a group of Pharisees and scribes
from Jerusalem came to Jesus. They saw some of Jesus' disciples eating with unclean hands, that is with unwashed hands.
For the Pharisees - like the other Jews - not eating without washing the hands first, because they are adhering to the tradition of the elders. And when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. Many other heritage again they hold, for example washing bowls, jugs and copper utensils. Because the Pharisees and scribes were
asked Jesus, "Why do thy disciples do not comply with the customs of our ancestors? Why do they eat with unwashed hands?"
Jesus answered them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy about you,
O hypocrites! For it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Useless they worship me, because they teach doctrine is a human command. You ignore God's command to hold the tradition of men. "Jesus said to them," How clever you put aside the commandment of God, that ye may be able to maintain your tradition. For Moses said, 'Honor your father and mother! And: 'Whoever insults his father or mother shall die.'
But you say: If a man say to father or mother:
'What is there to me, which can be used for pemeliharaanmu,
already used for sacrifice, is an offering to God, '
then you no longer allow him to do anything for the father or mother. Thus the word of God you nullify
for the sake of tradition that you follow it. And many other things like that that you do! "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
The life story of Job is perhaps one story in Scripture is the most fitting serve as an example, if one wants to understand the intent of Jesus in today's Gospel reading. To his hearers Jesus said: "Do not judge, lest you be judged ....." Job was a righteous and honest before God and neighbor. Therefore God gave her possessions, wealth, honor and fragrant. One, when Job was tested, those deprived of his possessions, even his son was killed. Not long after he was attacked by a disease which causes sores all over his body. Remarkably, in such circumstances is not the slightest complaint ejected from the mouth of Job other than the words "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked anyway I'll be back into it, the Lord gave and the Lord took, blessed be the name of the Lord."
Job did not want to judge anyone, let alone God, for all the hardships he endured. He has experienced the goodness of God, why now he does not want to accept something bad? In his suffering, Job remained faithful to his Lord. He did not want to blame anyone on misfortune. He accepts it as a part of his life. And all that is seen by God and reckoned as righteousness. Job state is restored.

Item contemplation.
Jesus urges that everyone is not easy to say a word about the ugliness and shortcomings of others, before correcting himself. We are invited to show the face of the original self, the truth, and not easy to find fault with others.
If Jesus is the Face of Mercy of God, then we as a people who believe too are called to be a generous person like the Father in heaven (Matthew 5:38) .We understand that God's grace given to each person, one different from the others, but all of these gifts are used to build up the people of God. (Rom 12: 4-8, 1Kor12) Whatever grace that God has given us, will increasingly make us dare to manifest themselves what they are, the more confident, that we are called by God to be the bearer of joy for others.

Prayer.
Yes God is benevolent, remind us of your people is not easy to judge others in our daily lives. Amen.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (MONDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Monday, February 6, 2017
PW S. Paul Miki and his companions, Martyrs

First Reading Genesis 1: 1-19
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was over the depths. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. God said, "Let there be light!" Then there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated him from the darkness.
God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. Then it was evening and morning: the first day. God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." And God made the firmament, and divided the waters under the expanse from the water above it. It was so.
God called the expanse sky. Then it was evening and morning: the second day. God said, "Let the waters under the heavens all gathered in one place, so it looks dry." It was so. God called the dry land, and a collection of sea water. God saw that it was good. God said, "Let the earth grow young shoots, plants that have seeds, all kinds of fruit trees bearing fruit with seed, so that no plants on the earth." It was so. And the earth brought forth grass, all kinds of plants that have seeds and all kinds of trees bearing fruit with seed. God saw that it was good. Then it was evening and morning: the third day. God said, "Let there be Lights in the heavens to separate the day from the night. Let illumination objects will be a sign that shows the days that remain, indicating the day and year; and as a light on the horizon,
let objects it illuminates the earth. "And it was so. And God made the two bodies torch is large, ie greater to govern the day and the lesser to rule the night; and God made the stars also. Everything was put God in horizon to illuminate the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. and God saw that it was good. So was evening and morning: the fourth day.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 104: 1-2a.5-6.10.12.24.35c
May God rejoice over his work.
Praise the Lord, O my soul! God, my God, you are very great! You dressed grandeur and splendor, covered with light like a cloak.
* You have based the earth above the pedestal, so it would not shake forever. With this Kauselubungi depths of the earth, the water had risen above the mountains.
* In the valleys you mebualkan spring that flows between the mountains, the birds of the air nested nearby, whistling from among the leaves.
How many works, O Lord, Thou all with wisdom, the earth is full of thy riches. Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Introduction to the Gospel of Matthew 4:23
Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God, and healed all the sick.

Gospel reading Mark 6: 53-56
One day Jesus and his disciples to land at Gennesaret and anchored there. When they come out of the boat, people immediately recognized Jesus. Then ran through them to the whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to Jesus, where they heard he was. Wherever Jesus went - into villages, towns or villages -, people laid the sick in the market and ask Him, so that they are allowed only touched the edge of his cloak only. And all those who touched him were healed.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
Event described in today's Gospel Jesus is actually an event that is already commonplace. Why? Because every time Jesus was chased down by a lot of people and asked to heal. However, if we look there are things that are interesting. It says "When they come out of the boat, people immediately recognized Jesus. "The remarkable thing, is because when I saw him, they immediately recognize him. It is not explained the extent of their introduction to Jesus, but later said that they only ask touched the edge of his cloak only that they may be healing. This sentence would affirm that they really really know Jesus and believe in Him so that they believe that Jesus was able to answer their needs.
In everyday life, we certainly strive to get to know Jesus that we have never seen, and we are ups and downs to get to know Dia.Tidak enough we know in terms of intellect. We need a faith that brings us to know Him that is true. St. Paul invites us to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection. In particular in the Great Mercy Yubelium Year yesterday, Pope Francis invites us to know the Person of Jesus of love, a love that is given free of charge. Relationships are full of sensitivity to those who approach Him. Signs that He has done, especially in the face of the sinner, the poor, sick and suffering, all taught about His mercy. Everything in him speaks of mercy. Nothing in Him at all - at all his relentlessness kasihan.Yesus saw the crowd of people who followed him were tired and exhausted, lost and without a guide, and he felt a deep compassion for them .. On the basis of love merciful, He also healed the sick people who were brought to Him Knowing Jesus as a person of compassion will lead us to have the same heart with Jesus. This is what is expected of the Church so that more people will receive salvation.

Item contemplation.
In many places in Indonesia, we often witnessed so many people are always longing to bring the prayer meeting, KKR, or the Mass with the theme of healing. Many sick people flock to come want to be cured.
Today's Gospel reading tells how Jesus landed Genesareth across the lake with his disciples. When some people recognize and know His coming, then they proclaim. Kedatangaan Jesus heard it, many people came to bring the sick. No matter where he went, many people came to him for healing. In fact there are just begging to be touched His garment only and they are sure to be healed.
Many of us are sick, There is a spiritual disease, there are physical ailments that we feel in our lives. Often we are powerless to bear. We often feel unable to experience it. Sometimes we feel discouraged by our illness disease. We often also find a way to find people that we expect to heal. Many of us came not only medicine but also kedukun or paranormal. Often we are no longer able to use our reason for us to feel desperate. Today's Gospel invites us to come to God in faith. Jesus we are true doctor for our lives. Therefore, with full trust and surrender, we should come to God for healing, both physical and spiritual sickness us.

Prayer.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I cast myself at Thy Sacred Heart. Take charge of the whole personality, convert me to be like you. Make my hand your hand, my feet Mu, my heart you, let me see with the eyes of Mu, hear with Mu, said words to the lips thy love with heart Mu, understand the mind Mu, serving the will of Mu, and devote his whole personality , Make me similar to you. amen

PW S. Agata, Virgin and Martyr

First Reading Isaiah 58: 7-10
Thus saith the Lord God, "I desire that you distribute your bread to the hungry, and bring to your house poor people who have no home; and when you see the naked, that thou mayest give him clothes, and do not hide yourself against your own brother!
Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your wounds will heal quickly. Truth be a row before you, and the glory of the Lord be pengiringmu. At that time you will call upon the Lord and He will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say, 'Here I am!' If you are no longer wearing the yoke to the neighbor, and no longer pointing the finger and slander, if you submit to the hungry what you want yourself, and satisfy the oppressed, then your light will rise in darkness, and kegelapanmu would like noon.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 112: 4-5.6-7.8a.9
For God's righteous shine like lights in the darkness.
* To the right he was glowing like a light in the dark,
he is gracious and compassionate and justice.
People either merciful and lending,
conducting the affairs properly.
* People honestly never wavered; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
* His heart is steadfast, he is not afraid, He was generous, poor people gave alms;
virtues remain forever, horns raised in glory.

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 2: 1-5
Brethren, when I came to you, I did not come up with beautiful words or wisdom to pass on to you the testimony of God. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
I came to you in weakness, with great fear and trembling. Neither the doctrine nor pemberitaanku not I command with words of wisdom are reassuring, but by a belief in the power of the Spirit, so that your faith may not rely on human wisdom but on the power of God.
Thus saith the Lord.

Introduction to the Gospel of John 8:12
I am the light of the world. He who follow me will have the light of life.

Gospel reading Matthew 5: 13-16
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said to His disciples, "Ye are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be restored? It is no use anymore except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot people.
You are the light of the world. The town is located on a hill can not be hidden. Moreover, people light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
Salt and light are two things that commonly encountered and experienced in their daily lives. Jesus uses the term "salt" and "light" to show the essence of his followers. (Matthew 5: 13-16), reason, salt is used to give flavor to the food and preserving foods because salt has the power to control bacterial decay. Therefore, Jesus requires his followers.
First, to give a sense of a world that has become tasteless because people no longer live in love. Therefore, one of the main tasks followers of Christ is to make the world a place to stay that is safe and comfortable, love one another and live in peace.
Second, to save the world from sin decay. But "if the salt loses" (ay13), it means that the salt has lost its function. If so, he was no longer useful. Followers of Christ who have lost their function is of no use. "Light of the world" (ay14), because if there is no light, the movement is restricted, people can not enjoy the beauty of the world. Living things will die. Because it is so important function for the life of the light, then the first thing God created light (Gen. 1: 3) Function light that is so important to the life of Jesus applied to His followers, that should bring life and atmosphere "light" for others. "When people light a lamp and put in the basket" (ay15), which he undertook in vain because the light is not working to illuminate. Likewise, Christians who can not illuminate the world. Christians must illuminate the world with all the "good works" (ay16), means to live according to the Gospel, especially living in the mercy of God and that the world is getting to know God and to glorify Him.

Item contemplation.
For the writer of the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus' listeners and the Christians are the salt and light of the world. As followers of Christ, we must not be selfish seclusion of daily living. We should live in this world and for the world. As part of the world, we must make a positive contribution, we and our actions should bring benefits for others and the world around us. The fact that we are disciples of Christ recently shown, if we want to love God and neighbor. Every follower of Christ is called to be the salt and light of the world, but must remain vigilant, lest we live according to the spirit world.
St. Paul invites us also say the word "Amen", Amin or agree on what? Agree or "Amen" to the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled all the promises of God. All the promises of God regarding salvation, peace, forgiveness and so any course in-yes-right or fulfilled and implemented in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the faith of the Church is certain. So we can say "Amen"
What is the meaning of "amen" in daily living? Peng -amin's us against the Holy Mass, the Word of God proclaimed at Mass, the Our Father, Hail Mary, the Creed prayer actually has consequences that we implement what we celebrate or pray for it. Take just one example of today's Gospel reading "you guys are the salt of the world". Do not we have meng - amini - These words at the end of the Mass which is now the mission, "Go, You sent" Kalu's answered "Amen" we should also persevere to make it happen that Word to live life as a salt, it means to live an empowered for others, giving a positive influence in the community when we are present. LHA if every time we attend even unrest, yes we have salt useless.

Prayer.
Yes mahamurah Lord, make us your people salt and light for others and the world. amen

DAILY DEVOTIONAL, (SATURDAY 4 FEBRUARY 2017)

Reading the Liturgy Saturday, February 4, 2017

First Reading Heb 13: 15-17.20-21
Brethren, let us, through Jesus, always offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God, that is empty talk which glorify His name. In addition, do not neglect to do good and give help, because with such sacrifices God is pleased. Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep the salvation of your souls, as those who must give an account. With such an attitude we
they will perform their duties with joy and not with grief, for this would be no advantage for you.
By the blood of the eternal covenant, the God of peace, have revived the great Shepherd of the sheep, Jesus, our Lord. May God equip you with everything good for doing his will. And may he work in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. To him be glory forever and ever! Amen.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm Ps 23: 1-3a.3b-4.5.6
The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack.
* The Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack. He laid me on the green pastures. He guides me beside quiet waters,
and restores my soul.
* He guides me in the paths straight, for the sake of his holy name. Even walking in the dark valley, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me. Stick your pasture, they comfort me.
* You provide the dish for me, in the presence of all mine enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
* Willingness and Thy mercy accompany me in my life. I will dwell in the house of the Lord of all time.

Introduction to Gospel of John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, saith the Lord. I know them, and they follow me.

Gospel reading Mark 6: 30-34
At that time Jesus sends his disciples to proclaim the Gospel.
After performing the task they are back together with Jesus
and told him all they had done and taught.
Then Jesus said to them, "Come to a quiet place,
so that we are alone, and rest a while! "Indeed, so many people coming and going, so that they could not even eat. So they went away by themselves in a boat to an isolated place. But by the time they leave a lot of people see,
and they identify its purpose. By taking the road immediately came out of all cities to where it was and they even precede Jesus. When it landed, Jesus saw the number of people so much,
His then moved with compassion for them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd. Then he began to teach them many things.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Devotional.
Those who study and work certainly has a recess. Students who go to school have the time off. Working adults have time off. Unfortunately there are people who work continued until the time the leave was "cashed" was supposed to be used leave time to rest so that the future can work bothered her leave time for any reason.
The disciples of Jesus returned from the mission. Jesus saw the jelly that they are tired, need relief: tired, need a break. They are ordinary people who are weak and fragile, it is filled in order to stay healthy and full of enthusiasm for the next project. Jesus reminded them of the importance of time off for the self and met with Father in Heaven. Rest time is necessary so that they are not visions, still have the motivation sublime. It turns out when they are at rest, the crowd came to ask service. Jesus then changed plans to rest and leave the comfort of leisure time to serve the people.
Rest time is the time people enjoy life as a human being, Rest This is not the time for idle and silent passive berleha careless but to sanctify the day to day of the Lord at the same time was a man because man freed from the burden of work and given the opportunity to enjoy life. Time off is not a time-pity and self-indulgence, but when silence dig the energy to stay alive and work, rest time should only be disturbed if the human responsibility to call, waiting services.

Item contemplation.
Compassion is a feeling that appears in someone's heart after seeing or hearing a sad events experienced by others. That feeling usually arise spontaneously, which led to sympathy with the person concerned. Mercy is a feeling that has a positive aspect because of mercy was raised in solidarity attitude that encourages a person to compassion and sharing with each other in any form.
On this day, Jesus and the writer to the Hebrews teaches and directs us to do good, by sharing and compassionate to others, especially to those who are having difficulty. Interesting to note that Jesus did not just direct us but also showed an attitude of solidarity with feeding 5000 people more who follow and listen to the teaching - His What did Jesus actually begins with a feeling of compassion for people who already began to starve it.
The attitude of compassion and sharing with others can be done with full sincerity, only when there is a sense of mercy in ourselves. Conversely, without compassion we will be hard to share and compassionate, although with eyes we watched their sufferings and difficulties. Therefore, as followers of Christ, let us not be stingy with others, but are driven by compassion, let us share with other people who are having trouble making our presence may be a blessing to others. sharing the wonderful, caring were sublime and compassion it is pleasing to God.

Prayer.
Yes God is benevolent, sadarkanlah Your people to understand the day of rest, Sunday to face you and serve our neighbors. Amen.
