DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY NOVEMBER 1 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Week 1, 2015

Reading 1: Revelation 7: 2-4,9-14
And I saw another angel ascending from the rising sun. Having the seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels who were to harm the earth and the sea,
"Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads!"
And I heard the number of them who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand, sealed from all the tribes of Israel.
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that can not count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm fronds in their hands. And they cried with a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!" And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures; they fell down before the throne and worshiped God, saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God for ever and ever! Amen!" And one of the elders said to me: "Who are those who wear white robes, and whence came they?"
So I said to him: "My lord, lord knows." Then he said to me: "These are the people who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Psalms: Psalm 24: 1-2,3-4ab, 5-6.
The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, and the world and those who live in it. For he who founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
"Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?"
"The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not submit himself to the fraud, and that is not perjury.
He shall receive a blessing from God and the justice of God that saved him. That is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. "

Reading 2: 1 John 3: 1-3
Behold, how great love the Father has given to us, so we called the children of God, and indeed we are children of God. Because the world does not know us, because the world did not know Him. Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, but not real what our circumstances in the future; but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him in His actual situation. Every person who put that hope in him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Gospel: Matthew 5: 1-12a
When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up to the top of the hill and after he sat down, the disciples came unto Him. Then he began to teach them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they reproach me you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven,
Thus the Gospel of God

Afterthought
On the feast of all the saints, we commemorate a large group of the faithful who have kept the faith during their lives. They were happy because it has followed Christ to the end (Revelation 7: 9-14). Who are they? According to the psalmist. "One who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not surrender to fraud .... and who seek the face of God" (Psalm 24: 3-6). According to the Beatitudes, they are "people who are poor before God ...... who are persecuted for righteousness' sake ..... were denounced and persecuted for Christ .... (Matthew 5: 1-12)
On sheet issued by Abbey Trappist Mother Unifying, Gedono, Salatiga, entitled "Family, Way of Holiness" is told that on October 21, 2001, the late Pope John Paul II raised a husband and wife named Luigi and Maria Beltrame Quattrocchi as Beato and Beata. This is the first time in the history of the Church, a husband and wife named a Blessed and Blessed. With this appointment the Church wants to affirm that the family is a path to holiness, the apparently less recognized by Catholics in general. In his homily at the time of the appointment, the Holy Father said that to draw strength from prayer, the Word of God and the Sacraments of the Church, the couple managed to live a life that is ordinary in an extraordinary way. Appointment of the couple be Blessed and Blessed invites us to ask God to more and more the couple who consciously live the family life as a path to holiness.

Items to contemplation.
As followers of Christ, "the Beatitudes" should be the inspiration that drives us in life. But as the saints we celebrate today, let us make an example in seeking inspiration "Beatitudes" is in our lives, in order to create a world of peace and justice.

Prayer.
Father, help us to be able to seek love in our lives every day. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY OCTOBER 31 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Saturday, October 31, 2015

Reading 1: Romans 11: 1-2a, 11-12,25-29.
Brothers and sisters there a God may have rejected his people? Absolutely not! Because I am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people elected him. So I ask: Did they stumble and have to fall? Absolutely not! But by their offense, salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. Because if they breach means riches for the world, and their shortcomings riches for the Gentiles, how much more their perfection. Therefore, brethren, lest you be conceited, I do not want you to know this secret: Most of Israel had become strong until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "From Zion will come the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins." Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but about the options they are beloved for the sake of the ancestors. For God are irrevocable gifts and calling of God.

Psalms: Psalm 94: 12-13a, 14-15,17-18.
God will not waste his people
Blessed are Kauhajar, O Lord, and that you teach your law, to calm him against the days of doom
For the Lord will not give his people, and his inheritance will not be left behind him; because the law will return to justice, and will be followed by all the upright in heart.
If not God help me, I dwell in a place almost deserted. When I think: "My legs shake," then thy steadfast love, O Lord, support me.

Gospel: Luke 14: 1.7 to 11,
On one Sabbath when Jesus went into the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat there. All those present watched him intently. Because Jesus saw that the guests tried to occupy places of honor, he told this parable to them:
"When one invites you to a wedding feast, do not sit in the place of honor, because maybe the person has invited a more distinguished than you, so that the man, who invited you and him, do not come and say to thee, Give this place to him . Then thou begin with shame to go sit in the lowest place.
But, when you are invited, go sit in the lowest place. Perhaps the host will come and say to you, friend, sit down in front. Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled and who humbles himself will be exalted. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
We observe it when we came to the summit meeting either at church or in the community. Many people prefer to choose to sit behind rather than sitting in front, There are a thousand reasons, but that the symptoms are very common in the community and our people. Perhaps only, to sit behind, people feel safe and be sleepy-sleepy without the views of others.
Or one who likes to sit behind due to follow the word of the Lord Jesus in the Gospel today? It was not very clear, clear, the Word of God in the Gospel today is not first of all talk about the seat should we choose but it is more about an attitude of humility, do not view themselves important. Those Jews who criticized Jesus was a man who pretended to feel important that they feel should be honored and glorified. Not when we sit behind but we are angry if not addressed or not respected, kitasama just arrogant and not humble?
Let us not boast about our position. Let us also not feel inferior because it does not shake. We are a dignified human being. Our dignity instead looked when we respect each other, whether anyone among us, Humility actually happens when we do not put excessive Fair alone.

Items to contemplation.
What can we reflect on the words of Jesus today? Jesus will awaken us to be good at putting ourselves in any situation, Lo! Is to know yourself and want to apply what is where. People who know themselves to be respected by many people but rather people who do not know themselves to be booed. We, as disciples of Christ have to know yourself and to know our identity as what? Our identity is Love. Our willingness to love others without limits would make us respectable in the eyes of others. Our honor is the love of Christ that inspires us.

Prayer.
O Lord, let me love Thee and honored because my neighbor and not because of worldly possessions. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY OCTOBER 30 , 2015

Liturgical readings Friday, October 30, 2015

Reading 1: Romans 8: 31b-39
I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying. My conscience also bearing witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. In fact, I want accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brothers, kinsmen according to the flesh. Because they are the people of Israel, they have been appointed as children, and they have received the glory, and the covenants, and the law, and the worship, and the promises. They are descendants of patriarchs, which lowers the Christ in His human state, which is on top of everything. He is God blessed forever. Amen!

Psalms 147: 12-15,19-20
Glorify the Lord, O Jerusalem
Glorify the Lord, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Zion! For he confirmed the crossbar gates, and bless your children with you. He gives prosperity to the roads and filling you with the best grain. He delivered his command to the earth; His words immediately ran.
He preached his word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. He did not do so to all nations, and His laws they do not know. Hallelujah!

Gospel: Luke 14: 1-6
On one Sabbath when Jesus went into the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat there. All those present watched him intently. Suddenly a man suffering from dropsy stood before him. Then Jesus said to the scribes and the Pharisees, saying: "Can heal on the Sabbath or not?" But they remained silent. Then he held the hands of the sick, and healed him and sent him away. Then he said to them: "Which of you not immediately pull out his son or an ox that fell into a well on the Sabbath?" They could not refute him.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
One phenomenon that hit most people are in the habit of doing good religious holidays, for example, prior to and during the Christmas and Easter, many Christians more intensely to come to church and be willing to share with others. So there is the impression that doing good was present or era. Is that true? Of course not, the gospel today proves it, where Jesus healed a man of dropsy on the Sabbath. Yet for Jews, the Sabbath is the day that people should not undertake any activity, except to the temple. Jesus was against the rules because for Jesus, help people do not have to wait for the particular day. Every moment is a time for him to help those who need help, especially those who have suffered excommunication.
Deeds Jesus healed the sick on the Sabbath, it reminds us that doing good to fellow does not know the time. Whenever and wherever we have to do good. We must be ready to help our neighbors who are suffering because of the emergence of human suffering knows no time. In a sense, suffering or sickness experienced by someone always comes suddenly, no one has a plan that someday he would be ill so that every time people have to be ready with it, then the same as the suffering that comes unexpectedly, as well good deeds and our willingness to help others we should be so. Due to the arrival of people who ask for help and assistance to us too often we do not expect.

Items to contemplation.
Let us ask the Father, to be awarded the freedom of heart like Jesus, we must recognize how we are completely afraid to act because it is keeping prestige. To meet the tastes of the crowd and maintain the popularity and good name, sometimes we sacrifice the choice of action is actually necessary and good for the sake of truth and salvation of others.

Prayer.
Father, teach me like Jesus is always ready to help and assist others whenever and wherever they need me. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY OCTOBER 29 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Thursday, October 29, 2015

Reading 1: Romans 8: 31b-39
If God is for us, who can be against us? God, who did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how could he not give us all things together with him? Who will bring any charge against God's elect? God, who justifies them? Who would judge them? Christ Jesus, who has died? Even more than that, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who intercedes for us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." But in all these things we are more than the people who are conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, either above, nor depth, nor any other creature , shall be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalms 109: 21-22,26-27,30-31
Save me according to your unfailing love of God
But thou, O God, my God, act to me by thy name's sake, deliver me because of your unfailing love good! For the poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me;
Help me, O Lord, my God, save me according to thy lovingkindness, so that they know, that thy hand, that thou, O Lord, have done it.
I will very grateful to the Lord with my mouth, and I will praise him in the middle of the crowd. Because he is at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who condemn them.

Gospel: Luke 13: 31-35
At that time some Pharisees came and said to him: "Get away from this place, because Herod wants to kill you." Jesus said to them: "Go and tell that fox, I cast out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and the third day I will be finished. But today and tomorrow and the next day I had to go on my way, because it is impossible that a prophet should be killed outside of Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and ye would not. Indeed, your house is left and became silent. But I tell you: You will not see me again until the time you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
This news we often hear, the husband and wife, Siti Suta and has many years of marriage, divorce. Sister Centilwati was already 10 years as a nun, would again be shaken out. That priest was nearly 9 years Sibukwanto ordained, again the crisis and wanted to get out. Brother Gojegana already undergone Year Pastoral, now call was floundering wanted out.
Call life crisis or a crisis of faith can hit anyone, including us. But when we reflect on the words of St. Paul in the first reading today with a clear heart and prayed in front of the Cross of Christ will surely another. St. Paul's words are so strong, full of confidence and hit up our hearts. What we fear in this life? Conflict, incompatibility, infidelity of spouse, economic difficulties, failure to work? It certainly can shake us. But whether it be a sufficient reason to separate us with Christ? His son just handed over by God to us, how He does not confer everything with his children that to us?

Items to contemplation.
Life crisis of faith and the call is always rooted in the most fundamental point, our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our fidelity to the priestly vocation, monasticism, celibacy for the kingdom of God or a family is possible only when we wake up we have never been separated from the love of Christ. Life crisis calls typically associated with this case and when people are so emotional, people are choosing to leave his calling. However, if the person in crisis that would stare at the Cross of Christ, the love of his love that never stops, how much we are willing to lose from the crush of trouble this crisis? God is not going to strengthen us and He is more than all that? not considered it as a motivation for me

Prayer.
Dear God, do not let me be discouraged if my love of neighbor is not considered but make the experience not considered it as a motivation for me to always do love. Amen

DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 28 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Reading 1: Eph 2: 19-22
You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also woken up into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Psalms: 19: 2-3,4-5
Bergemalah entire earth their voice.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands; day pass on the news of the day and night to convey this knowledge to night.
No news and no words, their voice is not heard; but their echoes scattered throughout the world, and their words to the ends of the earth.

Gospel: Luke 6: 12-19
At that time Jesus went into the hills to pray, and all night he prayed to God. When the day came, he called disciples unto him, and choose from among them twelve, whom also he named apostles: Simon also he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alpheus, and Simon called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. Then he came down with them and stood on a level place had gathered a large number of his disciples and many other people from all over Judea and from Jerusalem and from the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon. They came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; as well as those who were possessed by evil spirits might receive healing. And the whole multitude sought to touch him, because power went out from him and everyone was healed.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
Today's Gospel tells of Jesus who went to the lonely hill and prayed to God all night long. After that in the afternoon Jesus chose 12 disciples. This story will tell the world who are often skeptical about the meaning and importance of prayer, that prayer exemplified by Jesus is still appealing for the spiritual life and faith of the disciples of Jesus. Prayer is not limited to the matter of functions and needs. When the dark night, when the man became silent, exhausted, slept soundly, Jesus even prayed intensively to His Father. Communication between Jesus and God is not limited by time, place, or by custom and law are guarded by humans. Jesus wanted to show to the students that through intense prayer, living their faith will remain fresh, strong and renewed.
The students were chosen by Jesus, is still weak in faith. In fact they will be confused and not know which way they walk, Jesus would like to encourage students to be more aware of the calls and their selection as well as growing love of Him who sent them in mission and service. They should get to know the life and ministry that the triune God the Holy One is what animates their lives and guide them to testify of Christ and His teachings, Jesus did not just pray to God in the hills during the night before the election of the Apostles, but he prayed to God for us who are in crisis dark heart of this era.

Items to contemplation.
We believe that being a follower of Christ is a calling, Jesus certainly had a specific plan by calling our plan, it may not have been obvious to us, but of course related to the work of salvation. We too are called to be sent and produce fruit, become disciples calls for us is a privilege but also a challenge at the same time. Dare we respond?

Prayer.
O God, may I always give time to converse with thee in prayer, my prayer. Amen

DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY OCTOBER 27 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Reading 1: Rom 8: 18-25
Brothers and sisters I'm sure, that the sufferings of this present time can not be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of creation awaits when the children of God. Because the creation was subjected to futility, not by his own will, but the will of him who has conquered it, but in hope that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation is groaning-the pains of childbirth. And not only so, but we who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
For we were saved in hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope; For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms 126: 1-6
The Lord has done great things for us.
When the Lord restore Zion, our circumstances like those who dream.
At that time our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. At that time people said among the nations: "The Lord has done great things for these people!"
The Lord has done great things for us, then we rejoice.
Please restore our state, O Lord, as the streams dry restore the Negev! People who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
People who walk forward with crying while sowing seeds, would go home with cheers, carrying his papers.

Gospel: Luke 13: 18-21
While teaching in the synagogue, Jesus said: "Supposing is the kingdom of God, and what I would compare it? It is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in his garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the birds nested in tributaries branches. " And he said again: "With what I would likens the kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman is taken and diadukkan into three measures of wheat flour until the yeast completely."
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
Seeds and yeast Jesus used to teach about the kingdom of God, how God's reign. Have you ever observed the growth of a seed? The more we observe and we look forward, it seems like a long growing all. However if we stay a few days, know know already sprouted. How do we know that growth. What is clear is that the seeds turn into small plants, which had been hard, small, after sowing into plants that emit shoots and bigger.
Similarly, on the workings of yeast. Yeast dough sprinkled with flour and mix until smooth and then closed. After a while, the dough begins to expand and Empul. When and how it is difficult to observe, because if the dough is opened and closed, always visible, it will be interrupted process. Most likely, the yeast does not work well.
Apparently, both grains and yeast, although not look the way it works but still work and change themselves. Not only change himself, but also change the other as well. When the kingdom of God rather like grains and yeast, presumably wants to say is that while around us a lot of crime, natural disasters, dishonesty, injustice, and so, God keep working. How his work is not clear, not visible, but it definitely works.
In the silence like today, where we take the time to read and reflect on the Word of God, may God's voice will be heard by more jelas.Untuk that silence is really important in our lives, that we are not busy and exhausted by the noise of the "world", people around us, our jobs, television, mobile phones and so on.

Items to contemplation.
Are we willing to take a minute to listen to the voice of God in our hearts? Definitely seeds and yeast in us will work better.
Values of the kingdom of God as love, loyalty, honesty, forgiveness, truth, justice and so on, which was originally small and insignificant, but if we are diligent and faithful to live and proclaim the values of the faith in God, then it will change our lives to be better.

Prayer.
O Jesus add our faith and patience to appreciate the process of life and our ministry. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL MONDAY OCTOBER 26 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Monday, October 26, 2015

Reading 1: Rom 8: 12-17
So, brothers and sisters, we are in debt, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit who makes you sons of God. Spirit we cry, "Abba, Father!" The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs of people who are entitled to receive the promises of God, who will receive it together with Christ, if we suffer together with Him, that we may also be glorified collectively with him.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: 68: 2,4,6-7ab, 20-21.
Our God is a God who saves.
God arise, scatter his enemies, those who hate Him flee before Him.
But the righteous rejoice, they rejoice before God, rejoice.
Sing to God, sing his name, make a way for him who rides on the clouds! His name is the LORD; rialah rejoice in his presence!
Father of orphans and protector of widows, is God in his holy habitation; God gives shelter to the people alone, he put out the prisoners, so they are happy,
Bless God! Day after day he bore for us; God is our salvation. God for us is the God who saves, GOD, my Lord, give deliverance from death. Indeed, Allah crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy skull of a man who still lives in his mistakes.

Gospel: Luke 13: 10-17
At one time he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. In a woman was there who had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years so that he was bent his back and could not stand up straight again. When Jesus saw her, He called him and said to him: "Hi mom, your disease has been cured." Then he put his hands on her, and instantly she stood up, and glorify God. But the head of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, he said to the crowd: "There are six days for work. So come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath." But the Lord answered him, saying: "O ye hypocrites, does not each one of you in releasing his ox or his donkey on the Sabbath of the cage and take him to a drink? Is not this woman, eighteen years bound by Satan, must loosed from this bond, because he is a descendant of Abraham? " And when he said this, all his opponents felt ashamed and all the crowd rejoiced at all things noble, who has done his
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
What actually have we done as Catholics? Go to church weekly course a natural thing. Do good and be responsible for our respective families, and even then not unusual and should we make. Give charity every time the Eucharist or worship in the environment, is also a natural thing as our thankfulness. "All the people led by the Spirit of God are sons and daughters of God. For you receive not the spirit of bondage again to fear you, but the Spirit who makes you sons and daughters of God. "The call to be a free person who can act freely because there is no guarantee of safety should be the one to make us happy and full of joy, is revealed also in prayer."
Once the closing ceremony juvenile retreat, guides invite every participant to formulate and express gratitude that has been experienced during the retreat in the saying a short prayer, a prayer of thanksgiving and petition. However, out of 35 participants of the retreat none dare reveal spontaneous prayer but four facilitator. Guiding continues to provide opportunities and led to some things that can be expressed as an excuse gratitude, whether it is the kindness of parents, the dedication of the companion with a striking retreat groove, thanks to the universe and friends. In the period of almost 20 minutes, there were four children reveals a short spontaneous prayer. Question for all of us, what we teach children that they have a grateful heart that is easy and not bound fear or guilt in prayer prayers. We are an independent children, the sons and daughters of God special.

Items to contemplation.
Our God is a God who saves, do not be afraid to speak up to Him in prayer and acts of love.

Prayer.
O Lord, open our hearts to always give the opportunity to others to develop from weakness. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY OCTOBER 25 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Sunday, October 25, 2015

First Reading Jeremiah 31: 7-9
For thus saith the Lord: Sing for Jacob with joy, merry about the nations! Proclaim, praise, and say: The Lord has saved his people, the remnant of Israel!
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and will gather them from the ends of the earth; among them are blind and lame, there is a pregnant woman together with the association that gave birth; in a large collection of them will come back here!
They will come back shedding I will bring them; I will lead them into rivers, in a straight way, where they will not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, Ephraim is my firstborn.
Thus the word of God.

Psalm, Psalm 126: 1-2ab, 2cd-3.4 to 5.6.
The Lord has done great things for us, then we rejoice.
When the Lord restored the state of Zion, our circumstances like those who dream. At that time our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.
At that time people said among the nations: "The Lord has done great things for these people!" The Lord has done great things for us, then we rejoice.
Please restore our state, O Lord, as the streams dry restore the Negev! People who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
People who walk forward with crying while sowing seeds, would go home with cheers, carrying his papers.

Second reading Hebrews 5: 1-6.
Siblings - brother, every high priest chosen from among men is appointed for men in their relationship with God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He should be able to understand people who are ignorant and those who go astray, because he himself is beset with weakness, which is obligated to make sacrifices for sins, as for the people, but also for himself. And no one takes the honor to himself, but was called to it by God, as was Aaron. Similarly, Christ did not glorify himself by becoming a high priest, but was glorified by him who said to him: "Son you! I have begotten today," as his word in a passage as: "You are priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. "
Thus the word of God.

Gospel reading Mark 10; 46-52
One day, they came to Jesus and his disciples in Jericho. And when Jesus was leaving Jericho, together with his disciples and the crowds that flocked there was a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Many people are saying to keep him silent. But the harder he exclaimed: "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Then Jesus stopped and said, "Call him!" They called the blind man and said to him: "Courage, stand up, he is calling you." Then he took off his robe, he stood up and went to him. Jesus asked him, "What kaukehendaki that I do for you?" The blind man replied: "Rabboni, that I may see!" Then Jesus said to him: "Go, your faith has saved you!" At the time he received his sight and followed him on his journey.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
Hope it is essential, whatever the person's experience, but if he still has hope, then he will be able to survive in life. In contrast, no hope, no matter how small the problem, a person's life would be destroyed, today's Gospel speaks about the story of Bartimaeus who have great hope in Jesus. Bartimaeus was a beggar who likes to sit alongside a road. As a beggar, Bartimaeus hope to recover quite impossible, beggars do not have money for treatment and does not have a friend to help him, but in his suffering, Bartimaeus still have hope. When he heard Jesus was walking around the place he was sitting and begging, he cried out: "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me," Bartimaeus is not concerned with reproof many people that she did not scream. Then what happens? Jesus heard and responded to his call, Jesus stopped and ordered to summon Bartimaeus to approach him, and he healed.
Here is the perseverance of Bartimaeus every day, every moment pray for healing. Persistence certainly fruitless. In the process, of course there will be a lot of doubts, temptations and challenges, but to continue to look to God and put all hope in Him, we will be able to defeat all attempts to undermine our perseverance. In the end the Lord looks at the heart which continues to cry out to Him, and He will answer in His way and in time.

Items to contemplation.
Today we are invited to reflect on the hope of our lives to Jesus, whether during the time we realize that Jesus' presence is real in our lives every day? We are expected to come to Jesus, please be cured, please touch, please opened the eyes of our hearts. By looking at Jesus, we will easily see each other more clearly and sensitive to what they are experiencing, Come to Jesus.

Prayer
O Jesus, heal us of the blindness of faith, hope and love Thee. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY OCTOBER 24 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Saturday, October 24, 2015

Reading 1: Rom 8: 1-11.
Brothers and sisters now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Spirit of life has set you free in Christ from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do because it was weak through the flesh, God has done. By sending his own Son in the flesh, similar to meat that is for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to God's law; it is not possible for him. Those who live in the flesh can not please God. But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. But if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 24: 1-6.
Is the generation of those who seek your face, O Lord
The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, and the world and those who live in it. For he who founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. "Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?"
"The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not submit himself to the fraud, and that is not perjury. He shall receive a blessing from God and the justice of God that saved him. That is the generation of those who seek him, who seek face You, O God of Jacob. "

Gospel: Luke 13: 1-9
At that time some people came to him with the news about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with the blood of their sacrifices. Jesus answered them: "Do you think people these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered these things? No, I have spoken unto you. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam, a bigger mistake than the mistake all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? No! My word to you. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. "Then Jesus told this parable:" A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, but he did not find it. Then he said to the caretaker of the vineyard three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Chop down the tree! For what he lived on this land with useless! The man replied, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put fertilizer on it, maybe it bears fruit next year; if not, cut it down! "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
Sometimes we have a wrong picture of the suffering of others, we often judge, if a person much suffering in the world, surely his sins are many, while people whose lives are good in this world as blessed by God himself, so it is easy to blame people who are suffering as a curse of God, obviously this view is not correct because a lot of good people suffering in this world, and a lot of bad people in this world whose lives tasty
The Jews considered the Galileans who suffered because of his sin is greater or also people who died when the tower in Siloam sin is greater than others. But Jesus answered, no. If they do not repent, they can perish in this way too. Jesus was aware of them and we are all so do not accuse innocent people because of their suffering. Jesus reminds us that good people can experience suffering and distress in this world.
We need to develop is repentance, build unity with God himself, either being good or bad, with increasingly united with God, we will be strong to face the situation of our lives, whether it is easy or difficult. With united with God, we will hold in bearing the cross of our suffering, respectively.

Reflections grain item.
First: let us be sure that as bad as bad or even evil as evil people, they are always able to repent and change for the better.
Second: all that fundamental change is possible only when moved by the Lord himself, let us implore the grace of repentance and a fundamental change for those people who might have disappointed and hurt us, who have done no good to us. Is not for God nothing is impossible?

Prayer.
Father, give us love as you give to Jesus and Stephen, his followers, so that we were able to love those who hate us, hopefully we fully apologize to them, Amen.

DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY OCTOBER 23 , 2015

Liturgical readings Friday, October 23, 2015

First reading Romans 7: 8-25a
Brothers and sisters, but in order that sin gets a chance to awaken in me all manner of desire; because without the law sin is dead. I was alive without the law. But when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And command that should be brought to life, it would bring me to death. For the commandment came, sin gets a chance to cheat me and through it killed me orders. So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. If so, is there anything either be death for me? Absolutely not! But to show that it is a sin, then sin good use to bring death to me, so that through the commandment sin more apparent sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not know. Because it is not what I want what I do, but what I hate, that I do. So if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. If this is no longer I who do it, but sin that is in me. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, nothing good. For the will is present in me, but not to do good things. For it is not what I want, which is good, that I do, but what I do not want, that evil, I do. So if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then a law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God, but in my members I see another law warring against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God! through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalm, Ps 119: 66,68,76,77,93,94.
Teach statutes Lord thy statutes
Teach me wisdom and knowledge are good, because I believe in thy commandments.
You are good and do good; teach thy statutes me.
Would let your unfailing love be my comfort, according to the promise that you say to your servant.
Let Thy mercy to me, that I may live: for thy law is my hobby.
Forever I do not forget your precepts, for with it you turn on me.
I belong to You, save me, for I seek thy precepts.

Gospel reading Luke 12: 54-59
Jesus said also to the crowds: "When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, 'A rainstorm is coming,' and it does happen. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be scorching heat, and it indeed occur. O ye hypocrites, ye heavens and the earth in such a vote to know, why are you not able to assess this age?
And why do not you judge for yourselves what is right? Therefore, if you went to the government with your opponent, try you, make peace with him over on the way, lest thou be dragged to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the maid and the maid was throw you into prison. I tell you, you do not come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. "

Afterthought.
We have to admit, how difficult would live well, we know that talking about the ugliness of others was not good, it remains our behavior, Fun yes, if we talk about the ugliness of others. We know that no honest it was not good, but why do we love to lie to the leader or others in the name of good and security of our position.
The trouble doing well despite the mind and will of the good we wish was also said by St. Paul in the first reading today. "For to will is present with me, but not to do good things. For it is not what I want, which is good, that I do, but what I do not want, that evil, I do. "
Thus logically, if we continue this way, we will be destroyed and experience death forever. But thankfully, and that is what will actually be delivered by St. Paul, we have a Savior and Redeemer who can deliver us from the bondage of evil and sin in us. He is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Given the fragility of our bodies that can only be evil and sin feels like we become weak and hopeless. But we must remember, we have been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. That is why we need the power of Christ. The more we often hear and carry out God's word, the more often we celebrate the Eucharist and Eucharistic Adoration, the more we pray earnestly shared or private, rest assured that slowly but surely we will experience God who defeated sin incubate in us. Slowly but surely, we are increasingly doing good and noble words and through our daily service to others.

Items to contemplation.
Not a few people who drowned in a protracted regret for sin or mistake in the past, not a few people who are so sorry for himself as a sacrifice for example into one another mistake, whether vilified, either cheated, somehow betrayed. Resentment arises not stop, sadness echoed in the hearts, is another example of the old law, the law of sin which incubate in our lives concrete. We must beg the Lord Jesus frees us from all that weighed on life, because Christ in the Holy Spirit actually dwells in our bodies as well.

Prayer
O Lord, teach us to judge wisely times so we are not losing sight of pilgrimage towards the eternal happiness of your home. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY OCTOBER 22 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Thursday, October 22, 2015

First Reading Romans 6: 19-23
I say in human terms because of the weakness you. For as you have submitted your members become servants of uncleanness and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now have to give your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness. And fruit did you learn from him? Everything that you are now ashamed of the end of all is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye might receive the fruit leading to sanctification and as the end is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm, Psalm 1: 1-2,3,4,6.
Blessed are those who put their trust in God
Blessed are those who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked, who does not stand in the way of sinners, and who does not sit in a collection of scoffers,
but the favorite is the law of God, and that his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither; what he doeth shall prosper. Not so the wicked are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not hold up in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous; because Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Gospel reading Luke 12: 49-53
"I came to cast fire on the earth and how I wish it were already kindled! I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I have spoken to you, not peace, but conflict. For from now on there will be conflict between the five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. They will be conflicting, fathers against sons and sons against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law against women and mother-in-law. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
Gara gara become a follower of Jesus, a young woman threatened will not be recognized again as a child of her parents. He really had torn between choosing Jesus or follow the will of their parents. As a child, he was fond of his parents and did not want to lose them. But on the other hand, he felt called to be a follower of Jesus. Indeed, he admitted that acquaint himself with Jesus that is her boyfriend. But after trying to seriously following Jesus, he feels more stable and happy. Even more he was able to appreciate that being a follower of Jesus must dare to deny themselves and carry the cross. Exemplary life and teachings of Jesus has given him strength. Although rejected and killed by many people, Jesus remained faithful to the Father and ask forgiveness for their pleasing, he also aspires like Jesus in addressing his parents.
St. Paul describes Jesus' followers as "people that are satisfied by the fullness of God" To meet the fullness of God, the source of all happiness that we have to pass a difficult path. This is experienced by Jesus himself in to the call of His Father. He himself had to grieve "I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I have spoken unto you, not peace, but conflict. "
The more we draw near to God, the more we feel there is so much inner conflict that we must face, above A young woman must face rejection of their parents. He faced the risk of isolated, For others again, because they follow Jesus, he may lose the position, power, influence, social status, facilities, property, and various other benefits. But for people who have been able to overcome his inner conflict and remain faithful to Allah, he indeed will experience true peace. Because only God is the source of all that peace. The Lord will do much more than what we ask or think as long as we are willing to surrender to him.

Items to contemplation.
Indeed, Jesus came to bring peace, but peace was not a peaceful outward
in the form of cheap tranquility obtained slut. Peace is the result of the peaceful inner struggle and struggle on the path of truth. Peace is in the form of a very deep inner peace because people are free from all kinds of mistakes and sins. Peaceful as it had been experienced on earth by people who believe in Jesus, but still limited and will be fully enjoyed in the world to come. Therefore, as followers of Christ should we continue to fight for truth and create peace.

Prayer
Oh God, ignite the fire of thy love in us so that we always choose you in our life, Amen.

DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Wednesday, October 21, 2015

First Reading Romans 6: 12-18
Brothers do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its desires. And do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but hand over yourselves to God as people, who were dead, but now living. And hand over your members to God to be the weapons of truth. Because you will not have dominion over sin, because you are not under law but under grace. So how? What shall we sin, because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin that leads you to death, or of obedience that leads you to the truth? But thankfully to God! Formerly indeed you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey the teachings that have been passed on to you. You have been set free from sin, and become servants of righteousness. Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm, Psalm 124: 1-8.
Aid us in the name of God.
If not God who sided with us, let Israel say so,
if not God who sided with us, when men rose up against us,
then they had swallowed us alive, when their anger blazing against us; then the water has washed us, and the river has gone over us, then have gone over us water overflowing.
Blessed be the Lord who did not hand us a prey to their teeth! Our soul is escaped as a bird from the snare of a bird catcher; the snare is broken, and we too have escaped! Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Gospel reading Luke 12: 39-42
On one occasion, Jesus said to His disciples disciples, mark it well either, if the host know what time the thief was coming, he would not let his house be demolished. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. "Said Peter:" Lord, We the you mean by this parable, or also all the people? "The Lord replied:" So, who is the housekeeper faithful and discreet who shall be appointed by his master to be head over all of his servants to give them food in due season? Blessed is the servant, who found his master doing his job, when the master comes. I tell you the truth, the master will lift him in charge of all his property. But if the servant is evil and said in his heart: My lord is not lingering, and he begins to beat his fellow slaves male and female servants, and eat and drink and get drunk,
then the master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect, and when he is not aware, and will cut him and make him kinship with people who are not faithful. The servant who knows his master's will, but who do not hold a preparatory or do not do what his master desired, he will receive a lot of punches. But who does not know his master's will and does what it should cause the blow, he will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much is given, much will be required, and to whom much is given, of him shall much is required. ".
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
To be able to find the will of God is not an easy thing for people who are always trying to live right, to be honest with him and others, then his life will be peaceful because it is acceptable to him. Our life before God sometimes as a slave to his master. A servant does not know much about his master, which he knew was running errands as possible, so he is free from punishment and life will be saved. Similarly, a believer, he is living in total surrender to God, although sometimes the presence and His existence was dark. Surrendering to God is not a passive act, in the sense of not doing anything. Surrendering to be seen in the context of the live call. Humans are called and sent out in order to go and bear fruit, man is called to do something, as an embodiment of the hand-over to God, it is faith.
The word of God teaches that human beings are always ready to face reality, faithfulness to Him sometimes demands our ability to confront the denial of the treasure and the others, although it is not always to be the case, Assistance Holy Spirit will enable humans to align relationship with God and others.
United and close to God be the most basic things in human life,

Items to contemplation.
Have we act as servants of the Lord is good and faithful? We do not know when the Lord will come, especially when the Lord came to pick us to live happily with him. Jesus invites us to always be prepared so that whenever the Lord comes we are ready to welcome him. Good preparation is always good to try to live according to his will, which lives in the spirit of love for God and neighbor.

Prayer.
O Jesus, teach us to faithfully carry out our duties and responsibilities as a student of your disciples, Amen.

DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY OCTOBER 20 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Tuesday, October 20, 2015

First Reading Romans 5: 12,15b, 17-19,20b-21.
Brothers, sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned. If due to a violation of the one man had fallen in the power of death, how much more did God's grace and the gift of His grace over all the one man, Jesus Christ. For if by the sin of one man, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Therefore, just as by the offense everyone hath the judgment, so also through one act of righteousness everyone hath justification for living.
So just as one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also through one man's obedience many will be made righteous.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,
So that just as sin reigned in death, so grace will reign in righteousness to eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalm, Ps 40.7 to 10.17
God, I come to do your will.
"You are not pleased with sacrifices and offerings, but you have opened my ears; burnt offering and sin offering thou not demanded. Then I said: "Really, I come;
"In the scroll of the book it is written of me; I like to do thy will, O my God; Your law is in my chest. "I am announcing justice in the great assembly; not even I held my lips, you also know, O Lord.
"Let rejoice because of you all who seek you; let those who love thy salvation say continually, "The Lord is great!"

Gospel reading Luke 12: 35-38
Jesus said to his disciples his disciples: "Let your loins remains bonded and fixed your lamps burning. And be ye like men who wait for their master returning from the wedding, so that when he comes and knocks the door, quickly opened the door for him.
Blessed are the servants who found his master on guard when it comes. I tell you the truth, he would bind her waist and let them sit down to eat, and he will come to serve them. And when he comes at midnight or at dawn and found them to be valid so, then blessed them.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
Every day I was always busy, Since waking up, getting ready to go to work, spend a lot of energy and time at work, come home, eat, to keep the children while resting, That's my routine everyday, sometimes, do not feel the time pass, routine makes me not able to see the development and growth in myself and family. There saatsaya feel bored with everyday life are always the same, without my knowing, no gratitude from my mouth, doapun be bland.
It turns me less just in case, lack of prayer, less sociable with his word, and less aware of his grace that continues to exist for me.Will easy to consistently just in case because of my weaknesses and limitations.
But God wanted me to be on guard, continue to pray and continue to be a light for others, so I learned to always remind yourself to take the time Air - a relationship with God and a blessing to my family and others. Every morning I pray and invoke blessings upon my family. From there I also struggled to keep vigil - guard in the presence of God in this life. Thus, I hope can be bright wherever I am and always in His presence.

Items to contemplation.
What do I do to remain on guard and into the light? Through fun events that we are invited to repent and be grateful, through the unpleasant events, we are invited also to repent to realize our mistakes and improve the lives which have been less pleasing to God. The time that God has given us an opportunity to always self-correct and cautious so that our lives more pleasing to God and others. In time we will be called "blessed".

Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, you have loved us first and give your life for us. May we be alert and keep vigil serve thee in our lives now and forever. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL MONDAY OCTOBER 19 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Monday, October 19, 2015
PF ST. Paul of the Cross, Priest, PF S. John de Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues, Priests, and friends; Martyr

Reading 1: Rom 4: 20-25
God's promise to Abraham did not waver in unbelief, but on the contrary, it even strengthened in his faith and glorifying God, he believes fully that God is able to do what he has promised. Then it was reckoned to him as righteousness. The words "it was credited to him" were not written for his sake alone, but for us also,
because it was reckoned to us, because we believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, Jesus who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised for our justification.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalm: Luke 1: 69-75
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited his people.
* God has raised for us a mighty savior, son of David his servant. As promised from before, with the intercession of his holy prophets.
* To save us from our enemies and from the hand of all opponents who hate us, to show mercy to our ancestors and heed His holy covenant.
* For he had sworn to Abraham, our father, would free us from the hands of the enemy. So that we can serve Him without fear and force holy and honest in his presence for the rest of our lives.

Gospel: Luke 12: 13-21
On one occasion Jesus taught many people. One of them said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me." But Jesus replied, "Man, who raised I
a judge or mediator for you? "Jesus said to the crowd,
"Take heed and beware of all covetousness: for although an abundant treasure, life does not depend on the wealth of it."
Then he reported to them the following parable: "There was a rich, abundant soil results. He asks himself, 'What shall I do, because I do not have a place to store all the results of my land.' Then he said, 'Here's what I'll do: I will pull down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. Then I will say to my soul: My soul, do you have a lot of stuff, buried for many years, rest, eat, drink and be merry! '
But God said to him, 'O fool, this night thy soul shall be taken from you. For whom later what had kausediakan it?
So it is with those who store up treasure for himself,
but he is not rich toward God. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
At first reading, the promise of God, Abraham did not waver, even strengthened in faith and glorify God. This is according to St. Paul credited to him, even to us who believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Inheritance faith and effort themselves to capture the will of God based on what we receive in the teaching of the faith, it is very useful to cultivate our faith.
The question of how God became man in Jesus? Answered by YOUCAT Indonesia ... Popular Catechism no. 76 thus: "For us humans and for our salvation he came down from Heaven (Nikea - I believe no 456-460) In Jesus Christ, God was reconciling the world to Self - his, and redeem mankind from the bondage of sin," so loved God the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3, 16). In Jesus, God became man, living with the world, we feel the suffering and death, as well as being just like us except sin "
For the formulation of the faith that has been tested itulan two thousand years, we give form and the obedience of faith by way of daily living were inappropriate as the faithful. Confidence to proclaim the faith and also pass down to children and grandchildren and the generations of our descendants, need to look for breakthroughs that have a significant impact. The happiness of life is also not dependent on the abundance of things, but how we receive every grace given also use it for the good and welfare together.

Items to contemplation.
Appreciate the role of God in life means not merely acknowledge His existence, but also how to understand His Word and run it in their daily life. Allah does not forbid His children to be rich, yet worldly wealth without any appreciation of the word of God, which is love, giving false and misleading safety. When we focus on love for God and neighbor, we will become rich before God.

Prayer.
Father, do not let me fall on the crazy nature of the property and wealth alone. But personally always make me appreciate what I have. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY OCTOBER 18 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Sunday, October 18, 2015
ST party. Luke, the Evangelist
Reading 1: Isaiah 53: 10-11
God willing crushes his servant with pain. But if he gave himself as a sacrifice penance, he will see his offspring, his days will be continued, and God's will be done for him. After the travail of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. For the Lord said: My servant, the righteous, will justify many by his wisdom, and he shall bear their iniquities.
Thus saith the Lord.

Reading 2: Hebrews 4: 14-16
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a High Priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God. So let us hold fast our confession. For Priest that we have, not a high priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses. Instead he together with us! He was tempted, just not to sin. Let us then approach the throne of mercy of God with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 33: 4-5.18-19.20.22
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, may accompany us, as we look forward to you.
* For the word of God is true, everything he does with fidelity.
He was pleased to justice and law; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
* Indeed, the eyes of the Lord are upon them that piety, to those who wish to be his mercy; He is about to release their souls from death and preserve their lives during the famine.
* Our soul is waiting for the Lord. He is our helper and our shield. Your lovingkindness, O Lord, may accompany us, as we look forward to you.

Gospel: Mark 10: 35-45
On one occasion James and John, sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus,
and said to Him, "Teacher, we hope you grant a request for us!" Jesus answered them, "What do you want that I have done to you?"
They replied, "Let us sit in your glory later,
one on thy right hand, and another on the left you. "But Jesus said to them," You do not know what you are asking. What would you do have to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized? "They replied," We can! "Jesus said to them,
"Indeed, you would have to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized. But to sit at my right or left,
Not mine to give. It will be given to those for whom it provides. "Hearing that, the ten other disciples become angry with James and John. But Jesus called them and said, "You know that those who called the government of the nations rule the people with an iron hand, and the men of his officials exercise authority over them. It is not do so among you! Whoever wants to be great among you, let him be your servant, and whoever wants to be the foremost among you, let him be a servant to all. For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
Profession waiters are usually considered low, it is not the task of serving means are always under the command and kehendah served? If a waiter to be patient, humble, obedient command, it has been fair, we did not realize that the role of a waiter that require various virtues that need also owned by everyone. Good steward is a servant who knows his job, doing well, the goal only served, sensitive to the needs serviced, self-sacrificing.
That is why Jesus advised his disciples in order to build a sense of serving as a main characteristic of the Christian faith. Jesus uses an interesting paradox to be observed: be great means willing to be a servant, becoming a leading means willing to be a servant to all. The ultimate example of the attitude of service is Jesus, he was not to be served but to serve, even to give his life for many people. Good service can be measured by the success in the service, support and affirmation.
For Jesus leads it serves, A good leader is a good waiter. That way a leader just think about people they lead, failure of a leader usually starts when leaders selfish, want to be served and more emphasis on personal desires

Items to contemplation.
Jesus wants everyone who is ready to serve alongside him, must always be ready and focus on the services, the service raised the dignity of divinity damaged by weakness, greed for wealth, prestige or power. Jesus' warning that it also be a temptation reporters in serving, have you ever experienced a temptation to have power, utilizing the service status for the sake of personal interests, the Proxy is not wanted for a gift free of charge are distributed freely by the will of God himself

Prayer.
Father, give thy Holy Spirit to accompany us, so that we can carry out to serve others with humility, in accordance with your will. Amen

DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY OCTOBER 17 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Saturday, October 17, 2015
PW S. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr

Reading 1: Rom 4: 13.16-18
Brothers, not by the law, Abraham and his descendants were given the promise that they would have the world, but because the truth on the basis of faith. The truth of the faith that is mere grace. So the promise to Abraham that applies to all his descendants, not only to those who are of the law, but also for those who are of the faith of Abraham. Because in the presence of the God of Abraham is the father of us all,
as it is written, "Thou hast I will make the father of many nations." Abraham believed that God, the God who raised the dead
and that by his word created that does not exist. For though there is no basis for hope, Abraham nonetheless hope and believe,
that he would be the father of many nations, because God has said to him, "So shall thy seed multiply."
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 105: 6-9.42-43
God always remembers his covenant.
* O descendants of Abraham his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen! He is the Lord our God, His statutes prevail throughout the earth.
* Forever He remembered his covenant, for the word which he commanded to a thousand forces, will be tied to his agreement with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac.
* For the Lord will remember his holy word, delivered unto Abraham his servant. He led his people out with joy, and the people of his choice with cheers.

Gospel: Luke 12: 8-12
On one occasion Jesus said to the disciples of His, "Whoever acknowledges me before men, to be recognized also by the Son of Man before the angels of God. But whoever denies me before men, he will be denied before the angels of God. Every the person who says something against the Son of Man, will be forgiven. But whoever blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. If you are exposed to the assembly or the government, or the authorities, do not you worry about how and what you have to say to defend yourself. Because the moment The Holy Spirit will teach you what you have to say. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought.
How proud and happy we are when others recognize and communicating well who we are. This indicates that the other person is interested and provide positive recognition for our existence. as we are proud to be known and recognized, so too we are to understand what Jesus emphasized from His Word: "Whoever acknowledges me before men, to be recognized also by the Son of Man before the angels of God. But whoever denies Me before men, he will be denied before the angels of God. "The word was not not clear but very clear and has a link with the word next:" Anyone who says something against the Son of Man, will be forgiven. But whoever blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. "Confessing Jesus as the Son of God would have been born from the experience of the knowledge of Him under the guidance of the Holy Spirit working in us. Therefore the Holy Spirit who leads us to recognize Jesus Christ as the Son of God, but then we refuse to admit it, then we are in sin that is not can be forgiven because we have against the Holy Spirit.
Making the sign of the cross may be the way we practice to recognize the Christ, the Son of God before our neighbor. This does not mean that if you do not make the sign of the cross and then kta deemed to have blasphemed the Holy Spirit.
In making the sign of the cross we recognize it as follows:
1. Acknowledge God the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in a simple act of faith.
2. Recognizing baptism we accept as God's way leads us to salvation by united in the death and resurrection of Christ.
3. Recognize that we have marked and saved by the cross of Christ.
4. Recognize and accept the mission to be willing to take up the cross and walk in the way of the cross of Christ.
Let us make the sign of the cross properly as an expression of the testimony that we recognize and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior.

Reflections grain item.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are required to realize His what we believe in their daily lives, so that God's name be glorified and safety remain to reign upon the earth. Jesus needs us, would you?

Prayer.
Father, the source of the power of faith, strengthen our faith. Put your love in us, so that we are not ashamed to admit thy Son our fellow front. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY OCTOBER 16 , 2015

Liturgical readings Friday, October 16, 2015
PF ST. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Virgin
PF S. Hedwig, Nuns

Reading 1: Rom 4: 1-8
Brethren, what shall we say about Abraham our father? For if Abraham was justified by works, then he got a reason to boast, but not before God. For what said the Scripture? "Abraham believed God, and take into account it to him for righteousness." If there are people working, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to the one who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly,
his faith is accounted for righteousness. Likewise, David praised happy
God's people are justified not by his actions:
"Blessed are those whose transgression is forgiven, and his sins are covered.
blessed are the mistakes do not reckon sin against us. "
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 32: 1-2.5.11
You are hiding me. You protect me so I was safe and having fun.
* Blessed are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sins are covered!
Blessed are the mistakes are not taken into account the Lord, and not soulless cheater!
* Finally, I express my sins to You and not hide my iniquity; I said "I'll be with the Lord. And recognizing these transgressions." Then you've forgiven my mistakes.
* Rejoice in the Lord! Sing, the righteous, shout lighten, the honest people!

Gospel: Luke 12: 1-7
On one occasion, gathered thousands of people, so they jostle. Jesus began teaching, first to the disciples of His, He said, "Beware of the yeast, which is hypocrisy of the Pharisees. Nothing is nothing covered that will not be opened, and nothing is nothing hidden that will not be known. Therefore, what you say in the dark
will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the room
will be proclaimed from the housetops. I tell you, O my friends, you must not be afraid of those who kill the body
but then can not do anything else. I will show you whom you should fear. Fear him who after killing, has power to throw people into hell. Truly, I tell you, fear Him! Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies tail? Yet no one was forgotten before God. Even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore, do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. "
Thus the Gospel of God

Afterthought
Many people are silent and afraid to tell the truth, because the prison was prepared to wait and kitchen threatened no longer steaming. Jesus said, "Beware of the yeast, which is hypocrisy of the Pharisees." Jesus not only denounces the Pharisees, but once reminded His disciples to throw hypocritical nature, ie, behave and say that is not true. Because at the time everything is covered, hidden and is said to be secretly be opened, recognized and announced to the public. Jesus wants the disciples dared to tell the truth and do not cover up for fear the court ruling. He said: ".... do not you be afraid of those who kill the body but then can not do anything else. I will show you whom you should fear. Fear him who after killing, has power to throw people into hell. "
Humans can only kill the body, but God killed and punish the evil place of eternal punishment. Therefore do not be afraid of humans, but fear God, because God is the Father of the attention so that all the hairs on your head are all numbered. The eyes of the Lord, ye are of more value than the sparrows, which sold the five tail two pennies. Sparrow is the least expensive type of meat consumed by the poor. Usually two of them sold the money and if you buy five head enough for two pennies, because that is a bonus made.
How unworthy a sparrow, but God does not forget, apalagikamu. Therefore do not be anxious and afraid, but submit himself entirely on his holding.
Items to contemplation
Let us boldly testify about the truth, do not be afraid of anything and anyone except God himself. God never let us walk alone. God is gracious and compassionate and omniscient everything.

Prayer
O Lord grant me the courage to testify of your kingdom to speak the truth and justice for the sake of glory to your name, Amen.

St. THERESIA FROM AVILA

St. Theresia dari Avila

Teresa was born in Avila, Spain, on March 28, 1515. As a little girl in a rich family house, Teresa and her brother Rodrigo liked to read the lives of the saints and martyrs. For them, it seems to be a martyr is an easy way to be able to go to heaven. Therefore both the child secretly planning to go to the land of the Moors. While they walk the streets, they pray that they may die for Christ. However, they may not be far from home when they meet with their uncle. Immediately an uncle brought them back into the arms of their mothers who have been very anxious. Then, the children were meant to be a recluse in the yard of their house. This plan did not work as well. They were not able to gather enough stone to build their huts. St. Theresia himself who wrote the story of his childhood ridiculous.
However, when Thérèse grows into a young girl, she changes. He reads a lot of books of novels and stories dime novel until he did not have much time left to pray. He was more thinking about how to apply makeup and dress up to look pretty. But, after she recovered from a severe illness, Teresa read a book about St. Jerome great. At that moment, he was determined to be the bride of Christ. As a nun, it is very difficult for Teresa to pray. In addition, poor health. He spent time every day to talk about trivial things. One day, in front of a picture of Jesus, he felt a deep sadness that he did not love God. Since then, he began to live for Jesus alone, no matter how great the sacrifice was supposed to do.
As revenge for his love, Christ gave St. Theresia gift to hear Him speak to him. He also learned to pray in a way that is awesome as well. St. Teresa of Avila famous for Carmelite convents set up new ones. The monasteries are met by the nuns who desire to live godly lives. They made many sacrifices to Jesus. Theresia himself set an example for them. He prayed with fiery love and work hard tasks convent.
St. Theresia was a great leader and a man who truly loves Jesus and His Church. He died in 1582 and was proclaimed a saint by Pope Gregory XV in 1622. He was declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI in 1970.
St. Teresa taught that we should have great confidence in God's care for us. He wrote that a person who has God, nothing short of anything; God alone is enough.

DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY OCTOBER 15 , 2015

Reading the Liturgy Thursday, October 15, 2015
PW S. Therese of Avila, Virgin and Doctor of the Church

Reading 1: Rom 3: 21-30a
Brothers, without the law, God's truth has now been revealed, as has been witnessed by the law and the scriptures of the prophets, namely:
righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.
Because there is no distinction. All have sinned and lost the glory of God, and by God's grace, all are justified freely through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ has been established by God to be a propitiation through faith in his blood. This he did to demonstrate his justice, because he has let the sins of the past, through the forbearance of God.
His intention was to demonstrate his justice at the present time, to show that he was right and that he also justifies those who believe in Jesus. If so, is there any reason to boast? Nothing!
Based on what? Based on the deed? No, but by faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, and not because he is the law. Or is God only the God of Jews only? Is not he also the God of the other nations? Yes, right. He is also God the Gentiles! That is, there is only one God who justifies the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 130: 1-6
O Lord, in thy no redemption abundant.
* From the depths I cry unto thee, O Lord! Lord, hear my voice! Let thy ears attentive to the voice of my supplications.
* If you recall errors, O Lord, who could stand?
But on thy forgiveness, so that you feared.
* I'm waiting for the Lord, my soul look forward, and I expect his word. My soul expects the Lord more than the guards for the morning.

Gospel: Luke 11: 47-54
On one occasion, when he sat down to eat at the house of a Pharisee, Jesus said,
"Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, but moyangmulah grandmother who had killed them. Thus you acknowledge,
that you justify the actions of your ancestors, because they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.
Therefore the wisdom of God said, 'I will send them prophets and apostles. But some of whom the prophets and apostles they will kill and persecute. Then this generation will be charged the blood of all the prophets
that has been shed since the foundation of the world, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the house of God. ' In fact, I tell you, 'it will be charged against this generation.'
Woe to you, experts in the law, because you have taken the keys of knowledge. You did not go into it, but people are trying to get you hindered. "And after he departed from that place,
the scribes and Pharisees constantly lurk, and overwhelm him with all manner of problems. With it they are trying to provoke him, to catch him in something he might say.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
St. Therese of Avila, as well as St. John of the Cross in Spain and many others, are the people who really live by faith, as intended in the letter to the Romans today, also in accordance with the honesty and sincerity that prompted Jesus in today's Gospel, For them these laws, rules, regulations , the command is not a goal, but a good means to achieve the goal. If they do more than that specified, even in the case of heavy and difficult, it is not for demonstrating outstanding achievement, to be admired or praised. They do so because they know and realize the objective truth, so that the more able to reach it.
In the Church also takes time before a holy woman, not just a man, was named a Doctor of the Church. Now feminism increasingly appreciated and many heads of state or government leaders entrusted to women.
Know saw and put themselves before the Lord correctly, that honestly as it is, this is presumably that can be followed from the saints like St. Therese of Avila. Santo or Santa dignity equal to God. Used as Santa and Doctor of the Church is not an achievement, but because he was pleasing to God.

Items to contemplation
At any given moment we may encounter a dilemma situation. If we perform an action might we break the law, but if you do not perform humanitarian catastrophe could occur. Considering what Jesus then I think we should heed the safety of human beings, even though the action may violate the law.

Prayer
Father, may we always be able to cope with situations that dilemma with the help of your Holy Spirit is always with us

DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 14 OCTOBER 2015

Reading the Liturgy Wednesday, October 14, 2015
PDF ST. Kallistus, Pope and Martyr
Reading 1: Rom 2: 1-11
O man, whoever you are, when you judge another, you condemn yourself free from errors. For in judging others, you also condemn yourself, because you who judge others, doing things the same. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And thou, O man, you who judge those who practice such things, do the same, is there you would have thought, that you will escape God's judgment? Or are you thought deserted His abundant mercy? You remove spaciousness quiet patience and his heart? Do not you know,
that the purpose of God's mercy is to lead you to repentance?
But by violence unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of judgment. When the wrath and God's righteous judgment will be revealed. He will render to every man according to his work.
Eternal life will be given to those who diligently do good,
who seek glory, honor and immortality. But the anger and fury will be given to those who seek its own interests, which do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness. Suffering and distress will come upon every man who does evil, Jew first and also the Greek. Instead of glory, honor and peace
will be available to all those who do well, first of all the Jews, and also to the Greek. Because no partiality with God.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 62: 2-3.6-7.9
Lord, You render to each one according to his work.
* Only close to God I calm, of him the salvation. He only rock and my salvation; He is the only refuge, I will not waver.
* Only God alone I calm down, because of him the hope. He only rock and my salvation; He is the only refuge, I will not waver.
* Trust in Him at all times, O people, Pour out your heart before Him; God is our refuge.

Gospel: Luke 11: 42-46
On one occasion Jesus said, "Woe to you, O Pharisees! For you pay tithe of mint and rue and all kinds of vegetables, but you neglect justice and the love of God. That should have done without neglecting the others. Woe to you, O Pharisees, because you love to sit somewhere in the synagogues and greetings in the markets. Woe to you, for you are like graves that do not have a symbol;
people walking on it, do not know. "
An expert in the law replied, "Teacher, by saying this, You insult us too." But Jesus said, "Woe unto you also, ye scribes,
because you put loads that do not lay on people, but you yourselves do not touch the burdens it with a finger. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
Today Jesus said loudly and firmly, without openly embarrassed and Jesus said loudly to the Pharisees and scribes experts. Of course they were offended and hurt. If so, Jesus said is true, because it is on their hearts, the center of his life. They pay tithe but neglect justice and the love of God. The scribes, Jesus said, "Woe to you, because you put the burden of the heavy burden that does not lay on your own people but do not touch it with a finger burdens"
Warning of Jesus to the Jewish leaders even this is also addressed to us all, For Jesus, faith and obedience to God not only adhering to the law relating to God, but to be fair to others. When put love for God is to put the love of neighbor. Although we are not Pharisees, but we also often burdening people with heavy loads loads. Or we see our brothers carry the "burden", we do not at all want to help. Melihatpun not, even away. If so, Jesus also told us: "Woe to you"

Items to contemplation.
Learning from today's reading, we must dare to put aside the spirit farisinisme and tauratisme. Understand the rules does not mean insulting others. With the rules we want to serve others well; What can I give to others, and I'm willing to help ease the burden?

Prayer
Father, teach us to dare to run the rule for the happiness of our faith and our fellow justice. Hopefully, by implementing the rules and teachings you, your grace descend upon us who faithfully follow you. Amen.

DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 13 OCTOBER 2015

Reading the Liturgy Tuesday, October 13, 2015

Reading 1: Romans 1: 16-25
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am not ashamed of the gospel, because gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first of all the Jews, but also to the Greek. For in the gospel truth of God becomes real, and the truth is revealed from faith and toward faith,
as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Because what may be known of God
it is evident to them, because God has revealed to them.
For what is not apparent from him, namely his eternal power and his divinity, may seem to mind about his work since the foundation of the world, so that they are without excuse. For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or give thanks to Him. Instead their minds become futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. They act as if they were full of wisdom,
but in fact they have become fools. They exchanged the glory of the immortal God into an image made like to corruptible man, birds, animals with four legs, or animals spread. Therefore God gave them up to uncleanness their lust,
so dishonor their bodies among them. They exchanged the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and worshiped the creature
with rather than the Creator blessed forever,
Amen.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 19: 2-5
The skies proclaim the glory of God.
* The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands; use within one day tell it to the other day, and the evening one conveying knowledge to the following night.
* Although not speak, and not uttering a sound, but on the whole earth bergaunglah echoes, and their message to the ends of the earth.

Gospel: Luke 11: 37-41
At one point, finished teaching, a Pharisee invited Jesus to dine in his house. Then Jesus entered into the house, and sat down to eat. But the Pharisee was surprised that Jesus did not wash his hands before eating. Then the Lord said to him, "O Pharisees, you cleanse the outside of cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
O fools, is not what makes the outside, he also made the inside? Then give it as alms,
and everything will be clean for you.
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
Perfection wanted Jesus to our lives pleasing before God is not only the outer side or seems to be perfect, but the inside is also to be perfect, that is the depth side of the heart must be perfect. One should not cover up his crime with things that are visible from the outside as the holy deeds and obey the laws and regulations. Good deeds are visible from the outside to be a reflection of net heart of evil. Thus, life becomes perfect before God.
Jesus criticized the Pharisees precisely their lives to stop the appreciation of life legalistic, namely life for the sake of regulation and written law and only in order to cover the existence of their evil heart. Laws and Regulations is meaningless if it is not offset by a basic clean heart, because if so then no more laws and regulations as well as a means to cover the guise of crime and justify evil, Jesus opposes any attempt of self-justification are false.
People should be honest before God and others, laws and rules are made not for self-justification, but in order to become a true human life. A life of hypocrisy really "evil" or not pleasing before God.

Items to contemplation
Look into yourself, whether the condemnation of Jesus was well worth it for me? It terms of what needs to be condemned and needs to be changed? We as a follower of Jesus Christ is advisable to know the rules that apply in the teachings of the Church and encouraged to move in to practice the content and meaning of the teachings such as the practice of the teachings of love to our neighbor;

Prayer.
Father, may Your Word be our strength to run all of our lives and to live lives of our togetherness, Amin

DEVOTIONAL MONDAY 12 OCTOBER 2015

Reading the Liturgy Monday, October 12, 2015

Reading 1: Rom 1: 1-7
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God. Gospel was formerly been promised by the prophet in the scriptures, Principal contents is the Son of God who according to the flesh born of the seed of David, and according to the Holy Spirit as the Son of God with power, by the resurrection from the dead. He was Jesus Christ our Lord. With his intercession we received grace and the office of apostle to guide all nations, that they may believe and obey his name. And you are called to belong to Christ, you are also among them. To all of you who live in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: May the grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 98: 1-4
God has introduced his rescue.
* Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous works; Safety has been done by his right hand, by the arm of his holiness.
* God has introduced salvation comes from Him, He has declared his justice before the nations. He remembered his love and faithfulness toward the house of Israel.
* All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation that comes from our God. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth be glad, and Sing praises!

Gospel: Luke 11: 29-32
On one occasion Jesus spoke to the crowds who gathered around him,
"This generation is a wicked generation. They demand a sign, but they will not be marked in addition to the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man will be a sign for this generation. At the judgment the queen of the South will rise up with the men of this generation and condemn them.
Because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and indeed, that there is here greater than Solomon! At the time of judgment the people of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn them.
For the people of Nineveh that they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and really, who is here greater than Jonah! "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
We start listening to the letter of St. Paul to the Romans. Emphasized how the history of salvation has been preached from the ancestors and has been written in the Scriptures. Call the foundation of our lives is: "....... belong to Christ, called to be saints" If the basic call us so basic and in-depth, what we have strived to live according to the basic call it? St. Paul has affirmed the heart of the church of Rome on the basic call and realize the sanctity of life. Certainly the sanctity of life is not only applicable in the matter of spiritual cultivation, but also evident in everyday actions, in every circumstance of our lives. The Romans were living at that time with the challenge of belief in gods, but also with commerce advanced, are invited to firmly faithful in faith as faithfulness of Jesus Christ according to the flesh born of the seed of David, but according to the Spirit of Holiness expressed as the Son of God with power thanks His resurrection from the dead.
Very different from what we hear in the Gospel, with very firm Jesus said that "this generation evil generation, they demanded a sign, but they will not be marked in addition to the sign of Jonah" To the generations who live in a global age, with advances in technology and the virtual world are not unstoppable, what can we highlight? Seriousness of life to arrange how to act in accordance with the basic sanctity of life at the same time according to the daily work, we need to make and trying to do better.

Items to contemplation.
Let us start from ourselves, our own life may be a clear sign that the day to day life worth fighting and filled with good deeds, not the perfunctory only.

Prayer
Father, make me faithful to you only by faith, not only for signs and miracle of God.

DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER 2015

Reading the Liturgy Sunday, October 11, 2015
Reading 1: Kep 7: 7-11

I pray, and I will be understanding, I pleaded, and the spirit of wisdom came to me. He is more than I preferred the scepter and throne; by comparison, the wealth I presume nothing. Gem of infinite value is not equal to him, because all the gold on earth just sand just in front of him, and silver are considered mere mud beside him. Beloved wisdom more than health and beauty such,
and I would rather have him than light, because sheen is not ceasing. However, upon him came also to me all the possessions,
tepermanai and net worth in his hand.
Thus saith the Lord.

Reading 2: Hebrews 4: 12-13
Brothers, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword! Word was piercing to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow ;! The Word judges the thoughts and intents of the heart. There is no creature hidden before Him, because everything is naked and open the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
Thus saith the Lord.

Psalms: Psalm 90: 12-13.14-15.16-17
Nibble us with your unfailing love, so we cheer our days period.
* Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Return, O Lord - how much longer? - And pity on thy servants!
* Nibble us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may rejoice and be glad lifelong. Make our joy by grief in the past, by the years we have seen evil.
* Let Thy servants witnessed the deeds, let their children watch thy splendor. May the Lord's abundant mercy on us! Establish the work of our hands, yes, the work of our hands, courageous!

Gospel: Mark 10: 17-30
One day Jesus left and went on his way. Then came a run to get him and kneeling before him, he asked, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but God! You certainly know the commandments: Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, and do not defraud, honor your father and mother!" The man said to Jesus, "Teacher, all these things have kuturuti since my youth." But Jesus looked at him and loves him, and said to him, "Just one thing you lack: Go, sell what you have, and give to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven. Then come up here, and follow me . " Hearing the words of Jesus, that person becomes upset, then went away sad, for he had great possessions. Then he looked at the students around him and said to them, "How hard it bears the person to enter the kingdom of God." The disciples were stunned to hear these words. But Jesus connect again, "My children, how difficult it was to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
The pupils increasingly uproar and said to one another, "Who then can be saved?" Jesus looked at them and said,
"With men it is impossible, but not for God.
For with God all things are possible. "Then Peter said to Jesus," We have left everything to follow you! "
Then Jesus answered, "Truly, I say to you, whoever, for my sake and the gospel's sake, leave the house, brothers, mother or father,
children or fields, at this time also he will receive a hundred fold of mothers, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields,
even with persecutions; and in the future he will receive eternal life. "
Thus the Gospel of the Lord.

Afterthought
READING Gospel contains Jesus' statement that it is easier for a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God (v. 25; see also Matthew 19: 23-24 Lk 18:25). Pupils react, if so, who would survive? Responding to this issue, Jesus suggests it is not possible for humans, but not for God; for him everything can happen. What is it and what does it mean wartanya talk to us now?
True religious attitudes and Spirituality? There are people who came and asked Jesus, what must be done in order to obtain eternal life (Mark 10:17). Jesus refers to religious instruction (v. 19). But after the man said that all is executable (Mark v. 20), Jesus took a step further. Recommends to that person to practice his wealth to the poor and follow him (v. 21).
The desire of people to obtain eternal life Jesus faced with the aspiration to achieve perfection. Eternal life can not be called perfection. In these passages also became clear that perfection is impossible to achieve by human beings with their own efforts. Perfection is the work of God for man. The disciples misunderstood. They think perfection is required in order to be saved, then they wonder who will be saved. In v. 27 Jesus helps them to see the light: it does not concern human perfection, but rather the work of God in man.
In this connection, a well thought out the difference between "religious attitude" and "spirituality". Although interlocking, both are not the same. Sincere religious attitude can lead to eternal life and opens the sacred dimension of life, but have not brought people really feel the pleasure and wisdom The Sacred. He alone will bring people to him. Not a few people who now feel saturated with "religious attitude" and want to get into "spirituality". Gospel this week expressed the difference between the two. Paradigm "religious attitude" can be long, for example: menggereja, communion, civilizing religion, agamaist. Then what is the paradigm of "spirituality"? We know there is, but what ujudnya, He alone knows more! True spirituality escape from the planning precisely because it can not be scheduled. And futile effort to it. Different Roads Same Destination?
The response of Jesus in Mark 10:27 is not actually directed to the disciples ("Who will survive?"). They are busy with their own thoughts about salvation that now it digoyah Jesus. Perhaps they believe that salvation is experiencing "shalom" or "peace" as often dikuliahkan the treaty theology of salvation. Theology of salvation as it is actually more inclusive paradigm "religious attitude", and not in areas of "spirituality". As a result, sooner or later people feel stuck, bored, no inspiration. The antidote is the theology of salvation that gives more space to the God who acts to help those who need his help. That is the image of God in the Old Testament. It was also the image of the Son of man in the New Testament who awaited the crowd: heal the sick, cast out demons, fed the multitudes, revive people. Perhaps it should say, his work is nonetheless could we name it as an abstraction "work safety", right? Well, this is where the greatest ordeal: naming spiritual experience "helped by God" with universal abstraction about the state of peace / shalom. Theology of salvation as it was clear reasoning, but less work kerohanian.Lalu Which is more safety idea to give space to spirituality? Perhaps Psalm 15 can help. Psalm that begin with the question of who would dwell in thy tents O Lord, who will live in your holy mountain? For the hermit in the Psalms, to live with the Lord in His residence is enjoying a spiritual experience to be near God's wisdom. This spiritual experience is not easily abstracted into a peaceful understood or understand safety for granted. The next verses mention the kinds of behavior that is indicative entrance to the residence of the Lord. Everything including "religious attitude" that is directed toward spiritual perfection, which is living with the Lord at his residence. Thus was shown the link between religious attitude with true spirituality and the perfection of life. Questions at the beginning of Psalm 15 tone similar to the question of the rich who come to Jesus in Mark 10:17 although the starting point is very different. Ascetic in Psalms that want to know how to keep people can be with God because this satisfaction. But those who met him was searching for certainty how could enjoy eternal life. For him to be with the Lord, "following Jesus" Mark 10:21, not a source of satisfaction! Surprisingly, the path of the hermit in Psalm 15 and in Mark 10: 17-27 is practically the same. Compare catalog of good deeds in Psalm 15 and Mk 10:19, but the end goal is different. All the good works that include religious seriousness. But this attitude can bring the two directions are very different from each other. The one to the spiritual satisfaction was with God, and the other to the gloom, to a sense of sorrow for not being able to follow the Lord. This constraint religious life are ambivalent towards the goal. So no wonder if the disciples confused. Jesus' answer did not continue-fill their confusion, but rather bring them aware of the work of God himself.

Items to contemplation
Let us search for spiritual satisfaction was with God, to reflect on Psalm 15: The Lord, who can ride in thy tabernacle? Who may dwell on your holy mountain? Which he accepted without blemish, doing what is just and who is telling the truth with all his heart, which is not spreading slander with his tongue, which does no harm to his friend and did not inflict reproach to his neighbors; who despise the person who was eliminated, but honors those who fear the Lord; who adhered to the oath, although the loss; which do not lend money at usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Who in doing so, will not waver forever.
