St. Maria dari Fatima

First reading Acts 1: 12-14,
Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is only a Sabbath day's journey from Jerusalem. Once they arrived in town, they went to the upstairs room where they were staying. They were Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Psalm 86: 3-6,9-10.
You are the God, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
"You are my God, have mercy on me, O Lord, to thy because I cried all day. Make the soul of your servant rejoice, for unto thy, O Lord, I lift up my soul "
"For thou, O Lord, good and forgiving, and abundant in mercy to all that call upon thee. Give ear to my prayer, O Lord, and consider the plea voice. "
"All the nations that you make will come worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name. For you are great and perform wonders; You alone are God. "

Reading the Gospel of Luke 1: 26-38
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David; The virgin's name was Mary.
When the angels went into the house of Mary, he said: "Hail, thou blessed, God is with you." Maria was surprised to hear the word, and asked in his heart, meaning of this greeting. The angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you might receive the grace of God. Behold thou shalt conceive and will bear a son and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of God High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of David, his ancestor, and he will be king over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom will never end. " Mary said to the angel, "How shall this be, since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, sanakmu it, he is pregnant with a boy in her old age and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing is impossible. " Said Mary: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be to me according to your word." Then the angel left him.

Afterthought
Feast of Santa Maria Rosary established by Saint Pius V as a thanksgiving for the protection of the Virgin Mary. This relates to the party victory in the Christian fleet at the naval battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571. Before the battle that Christians throughout Europe help of Mary by praying the Rosary. The reality of the battle itself is actually very complex.
Pray for God's help in a difficult situation is not unusual in the life of the faithful. Prayed Psalm 86 as a response psalm is a prayer, prayer of the petition was declared complete trust in God. Trust intact was revealed for example in the belief that God would have granted it "On the day of distress I cried to you, because you answer me." (Psalm 86.7) Although the request was not granted, praying the psalms sure of God's answer to his prayer, Rosary also disclose such faith.
We also need to realize that by praying the Rosary we are not just asking for something, also revealed the intention to further surrender to the will of God because we believe that God is the Operator of life. Therefore, petitions as any urgency, must be confirmed by the statement of the Virgin Mary "Be me according to your will or with Jesus' own prayer:" Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done "

Items to contemplation
Together with Jesus and Mary: Without even imagining we can together with Jesus and Mary, which is the attitude of faith seemed to "rest" in God. We do not need to pay attention to the words we say, and do not need to put a lot of interest in the meaning of those words. The only concern we point to God. We dwell in Him. We do as little as possible to let God work in us, in full control of our hearts. Then prayer and mystery only one objective, namely to prepare the way to meet with God, who speaks without words. For many people, praying the Rosary gives peace in the midst of any anxiety. Because of the Rosary is also many saints feel compelled to establish an intimate relationship with God and those who are just starting to foster the spiritual life more actively encouraged to learn to pray.

Prayer
Lord, teach us to dare for a moment abandon our routine to kneel in your presence by praying the Rosary. Amen.
