First reading Joel 1: 13-15, 2: 1-2,
Wrap sackcloth and Sighing, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar; go, lodged by wearing sackcloth, O ministers of my God, because it was withheld from the house of your God, the grain offering and drink offering. Lord judge the world with justice

Gospel reading Luke 11: 15-26
One day after Jesus cast out demons, was among those who said: "He cast out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of demons." There is also asking for a sign from heaven to him, testing him. But Jesus knew their thoughts and said: "Every kingdom divided against itself will perish, and every household fragmented, would collapse. If Satan also is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub. So if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers followers out? Therefore they will be thy. But if I cast out demons by the power of God, then indeed the kingdom of God has come upon . If a strong and well-equipped armed guard his own house, then was safe all hers. But when a stronger than him attacked and beat him, then he will plunder armor, which relied and divides up his plunder. Who does not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me, scatters. Afterthought
Spooky atmosphere is indeed characterize the atmosphere of darkness and evil, In the language of Scripture, the power of darkness or evil was revealed in the power of Satan the devil by his boss who called Beelzebub. At today's Gospel Jesus had cast out demons accused by the Jews as the tang cast out devils by Beelzebub, it is tantamount to equate Jesus with the entourage of the devil, of course it is a very nasty accusation. But Jesus showed untruth accusations intelligently .And above all else, when Jesus cast out demons, the kingdom of God has come in our midst. The presence of Jesus is the presence of God's power to overcome the forces of evil. Kingdom of God present marked a peaceful atmosphere, loving and free from fear.

Sit down quietly. Ponder that now the Lord Jesus is always present in our midst sign of the presence of the Lord Jesus is real when we are overwhelmed with the community or family peace, love and freedom from fear. Life of peace, love and freedom from fear is a sign of the presence of the kingdom of God, when the power of the demons have been driven from our midst.

Prayer
