First reading Night 3: 13-4.2a,
Words have been stout against me, says the Lord. But you say: "Are we talking against thee?" You say: "It is vain to worship Allah. Do fortunately we preserve what should be done to him and walk with mourners before the Lord of hosts? Therefore we have called the blessed people who are reckless: not only luck people who do wicked, but to tempt Allahpun, they escaped as well. " This is how to talk to each other those who fear the Lord: "Lord hearkened, a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and for people who respect his name." They will be my own special possession, saith the Lord of hosts, on the day when I act. I will spare them, as a man spares his son who serves him. Then you will see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who worship God and those who do not worship Him.
Behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, then all the proud, yea and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and shall burn the coming days, says the Lord of hosts, that will not leave them root and branch. But to you who fear my name, you sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.
Psalm 1: 1-6.
Blessed are those who trust in me.
Blessed are those who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked, who does not stand in the way of sinners, and who does not sit in a collection of scoffers, but his favorite is the law of the Lord, and that his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither; what he doeth shall prosper. Not so the wicked are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not hold up in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous; For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Gospel Luke 11: 5-13
Then he said to them: "If one of you in the middle of the night to go to the house of a friend and said to him: Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, because a friend who was on the way stopped at my house and I do not have anything to serve him; dishes he were in that house would answer: Do not interrupt me, the door was closed and I and my children have gone to bed; I can not get up and give it to you. Therefore I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall receive; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Father Which of you, if his son asked for a fish, will give his son a snake to replace the fish? Or, if he ask an egg, will give him a scorpion? So if you are evil know to give good gifts to your children, especially your Father in heaven! He would give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. "
Afterthought
In Javanese phrase says "obah mamah" (if we move we could eat). This expression moves many people to get up and move. In some testimony many famous Javanese transmigration tenacious work. And most of them succeeded.
Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall receive; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Lk 11: 9). We can not just quietly waiting for fortune to feed us. We need to ask and look for it.
Fortune has been available around us. Grace surrounds us. Fortune and the grace that could be ours if we will ask and moves to find and arrest him.
Items to contemplation
Sit down quietly. Remember how your movements to capture the grace of God.
Tell your movements to ask and seek the grace of God.
Prayer
Father, open our hearts to be aware of your presence in every step of our lives. Hopefully we grow into a personal private who care about the people around us, Amen
